I bought AAPL at the opening bell this morning. I would strongly encourage buying Apple right now - we could easily see a 7% jump tomorrow if the earnings report is favorable.

It's too bad you didn't actually trade what you called out in AAPL.

    YEA YEA!

I've also partaken in some nice options on AAPL. $17.00 to sell an April call of $550....not bad, not bad at all. So far anyways.

Well....i hope you sold it at the spike up to 525 for a few seconds after hours.

425 looks to be a nice spot to get long AAPL if it gets there. 445-450 looks decent for a bounce in the shorter term.

The thing that killed them outside of the numbers was the fact that they said their earnings guidance was not conservative like it normally is.

you might look to double down on the blow out in the morning. i have a feeling people are going to be hitting the market sell button and dumping this thing. this thing is still weak as hell. i almost want to take it home short.

A new report coming out tomorrow from Apple will show greater than expected earnings. Anyone with shares in the company should be watching them tomorrow.

Oh, AAPL, you're hilarious. Basically saying what everybody already knew - they used to sandbag earnings. Now they're saying they're going to be more realistic. LOL.

    http://www.marketwatch.com/story/apples-outlook-to-get-more-realistic-2013-01-23

    --------------------------

Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer also said the company has in the past given a “single point estimate of guidance that was conservative.” Instead, he said Apple “will provide a range that we believe we are likely to report within.”

In the last few years, Apple has often exceeded its own forecasts by a wide range.
