    He smokes them.

This is the kind of thing I wanted to respond to the "Who Is the NBA's Least Athletic Player" thread. The answer is "none of them."

He looked out of shape and rusty and he still smoked them. Speaks for the gap between NBA players and people on the street. Obviously he was taller than some of them, but he still had to work to get his baskets under 10 seconds. It wasn't like he was backing them down and getting a layup.

Now we know where the Black Mamba got all those sick moves from, none other than the legend himself, the White Mamba.

I used to play Matt Bullard in one on one challenges during his basketball camp days. Needless to say he beat me...I was 12 years old...

Lol being good at basketball and being athletic are two different things. Nash is not really "athletic" but a great player.

Athletic is usually a measure of speed, strength, that kind of thing.

Steve Nash is pretty athletic. Maybe he can't jump, but he super quick with the ball. Other than cp3 and maybe rondo I don't know if anyone can dribble better than him.

So you consider dribbling an aspect of athleticism? I've never really thought of it that way! I'm not sure I agree though, care to elaborate? Not trying to argue, I really am curious! :)

Nash played rugby as a fullback in high school. The closest position in gridiron is running back.

I had this discussion with a Lakers fan (of course) and he said my analysis was "r****ded".

all I said was that the Lakers were unathletic- meaning old and slow.

yes, all of them are professional athletes but the common understanding around the entire league, and even among Lakers own media personnel- is that this is an unathletic team and that is part of the reason for their failure. they can't keep up with their opponents. Nash is actually slow on defense.

He actually looks pretty unathletic in this video. He is beasting them though. Using strength, height, shooting, and smarts rather than athleticism.

If anything, it shows if you are coordinated, tall, and hard-working, you can make a career in the NBA.

I played a (VERY casual) game of one-on-one with former Rocket Juaquin Hawkins (then a member of the Fort Wayne Fury of the CBA) that actually ended in a 3-3 tie! (He had to stop because practice was starting.)

Some might say that Hawkins (a very good defensive player) wasn't playing seriously.

I choose to ignore that fact.

Not impressed 3 of those dudes were sticks, and the one who wasn't made it hard for him to score. Too bad that guy was terrible at offense and 8" shorter lol. Who picked these clowns?

Rebounding, hustling, and boxing out were never his strong suit. No wonder they played miss it give it.

I tried to dunk on Bargnani once.

    He ran away.

    I can't even dunk, btw.

One of those guys put in a youtube video of him just nailing like 20 3s in a row. Pretty impressive. Super athletic too but man Scal's just too big. I reckon it be a good matchup with a point guard.

Meh. Still think there are some street ballers that would get the best of him one on one.
