I think the name Pelicans is pretty awesome, actually. People might not think Pelicans are badass, but they are pretty cool. The designs posted are all pretty solid, even though some rip off other teams a bit (Heat, Cavs). Dream2franchise, your design is beyond cool. Not sure there's a clear enough Pelican connection... but the mean face with the New Orleans style hat, the color scheme, the font, it all works.
Cheers for that. In my workings there was a beak component that completed the look but it made for such a long, impractical silhouette. Once I removed it it gave me the vibe of a Mardi Gras mask whilst still maintaining the beak markings. I couldn't go back to the putting the beak on lol. Thanks too, VBG. Good nasty is what I was going for
New Orleans Pelicans? Mosquitos? Bullsharks? Swamp Dogs? Rougarou? I guess if they registered those 5 names instead of just Pelicans, then it must mean they're not necessarily wedded to the Pelicans nickname yet. I don't mind any of these, but "Rougarou" is kind of silly. If people have to google your nickname to figure out what the hell you even are, then maybe that's not the right direction for the team.

After a crazy decade, in the end the Hornets are still in Charlotte and the Supersonics are in Seattle.
Yeah I mean I think it was a foregone conclusion, but the league had to go through the normal processes of name changes and such.
Those are great, the 2nd one looks gorgeous but it could just be the orange/blue contrast and filter exaggerating it. Even so the design, and the font, just everything about it is gorgeous. I wouldn't mind owning that jersey just because it looks so damn good. I'd probably use it as a c*m rag after we took a dump on General Greivis and Davis.
Pigeons are nice, but if anyone can find a YouTube video of a pelican eating a bobcat or a timber wolf, I'll donate $10 to the tip jar lol.
