Last year we saw duelling "Snow White" films, the lighter "Mirror Mirror" in March followed by the darker fantasy "Snow White and the Huntsman" in June. Same situation this year, but the story this time is terrorists taking over the White House. The trailer for the first of these films, Antoine Fuqua's "Olympus Has Fallen," has arrived. Said to be the more serious (but lower-budgeted) of the two, Gerard Butler stars as a disgraced secret service agent who must rescue the U.S. President (Aaron Eckhart) after Korean terrorists take the White House. The other film is Roland Emmerich's "White House Down" in June and it is said to have a 1980s buddy cop-flavored approach. In that one, Channing Tatum is the agent while Jamie Foxx is the President. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vwx1f0kyNwI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/25990/-olympus-has-fallen-trailer-arrives This looks like it has a Velvetta level of cheese.....
I thought Harvey Dent was dead? Now he's the President. I need to watch less Adult Swim and more CNN.
Its a fuqua film? Who wants to bet there will be a corrupt cop or secret service agent in there somewhere.
ah Hollywood, terrified of portraying Islamic terrorists (and can you blame them?) Chinese are also out cause they want their money poor North Koreans, smh
Thismovie looks like a mashup of ever action movie cliche ever. And wasn't Rick Yune already the baddie in that 007 movie? Way to be original..
Looks like they slapped Air Force One and Under Siege together, and didn't even try to be subtle about doing it.
Wouldn't have happened under Obama. Skip to 1:00 <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uk2Azl628Nw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Holy sweet Jesus. That is the most contrived, cliche-ridden trailer I've ever seen. It's a Bay-Bruckheimer cocaine party love child. They spent millions building a database of the cheesiest lines ever and used the top ten over and over again and said, here is your script, sirs. With all due respect, Butler has made the worst career choices ever, sir. Hamhocks.
