Please explain, seriously. Not extensively, but the brief version. Why is the federal deficit not a dangerous problem? I could understand somewhat if we were borrowing from ourselves, but other countries like China are loaning to us. The debtor is the slave to the lender.
I think macro is a little different. If you owe the bank $250k, you might have a problem. If you owe the bank $500 billion and you control the value of the currency in the deal, the bank has a problem.

I'd prefer a first lady to act classy, but hey that's just me. It's her house, she can do whatever she wants and I can call her classless for it. It is just further proof to me that Obama has no intentions of playing nice with those across the aisle.
Where is this outrage when congressional republicans are blocking action to deal with unemployment? Where is this fake concern when the president offers his usual watered down compromise deal that contains 50% republican platform ideas yet there is a senate veto and/or house republican hissy fits? Obstruction has practically ground congress to a halt. The president cannot move without them, but he also should not let the obstructionists try to force the country to re-implement the same backwards ideas that led to these soaring deficits and economic crisis in the first place.
