agreed, i love jlin and have continued to take up for him and hoped eventually he would figure it out. he just needs to come off the bench at this point. as things continue he is going to eventually play his way out of a job, big contract or not....

Ideally, Harden would be down to 33-35 minutes, and Lin around 30 minutes.

That leaves 13-15 minutes staggered with Lin and the 2nd unit, preferably 8ish minutes at the end of the 4th quarter with Harden, and another 5-7 minutes overlapping maybe at the beginning of the 3rd quarter.

Playing Harden for 40 minutes is ridiculous. You're just begging for an injury given his aggressive driving play style.

i agree the fact no major injuries have come with mchale hard driving like it's the final month of the season. lou williams is out for season due to acl, jlin just coming off series injury and definitely don't want harden getting seriously injured he's the future.

in the interviews jlin just looks worn out and tired. his skin doesn't look good either.

Harden is averaging 38.5 MPG now. Only five other players had more minutes than him. But he is taking a lot more beating because of the style he plays. I'd like to see his minutes lowered a bit.

 

It was an afternoon game because of MLK day. Started at 1pm Houston time.

it's a win, i was really concerned the rockets would lose. they have to stay around .500 or a few games above to at least get the playoffs that would be an improvement over last year. doesn't matter who gets the individual stats the team has to make playoffs at this point since we know the potential, tanking now isn't an option.

 

The Rockets played as bad as any game they played in the 7 game losing streak but we won anyways because it was the Bobcats. Not a very comforting way to break the streak but I'll take it.

 

Smith was out to celebrate birth of his first child.

Kemba Walker was on "cheat mode" today. He's been using moving screens to get rid of both Lin and Beverly in the first three quarters. His scoring slowed down when the bigs setting the picks started to behave in the 4th quarter for unknown reasons.
