Lin played like **** , but
Kemba 17 points on Lin in 2 in a Half Quarters

Kemba 18 points on everyone else in 10 min.

Beverly does look good as a backup, 1 of his TO was a PNR with a big who couldnt catch the ball , so it doesnt only happen to Lin and Harden

Team still needs a PNR PF

You're pretty much describing Dantoni's system

McHale playing Harden heavy minutes again. I swear it's only a matter of time before Harden gets a serious injury. Harden needs freaken rest before he kills his knees or ankles with all these drives.

Rockets just got their superstar, it would be all for naught if the superstar gets a career ending injury. You don't just start the guy with 40+ min per game every game. There needs to be gradual transitions for the body to adapt. Frick man I'm kind of pissed off even though this game was a win.

Outside of Miami, I can't think of another team that is successful with one player doing everything. Even Miami isn't really like that. I guess you could argue for LA with Kobe, but even then, when they were successful, they had a solid offensive system and a talented ****ing starting unit.

I didnt see the game but it looks to me like Harden had the game as Lin only Lin didnt shoot as much.

I dont know whats going on with Lin but I agree he looks lost. Hes pretty darn good when he has the ball...he and parsons are the most consistant players over the last 2 weeks but his stats dont look good today.....he looks lost to me.... i like him and i hope he finds his way on this team.... be a shame to see him go someplace else and play the way he did in NY or against SA....that would suck....and Harden shoots 25% again....UGLY

cause beverly was so good the last game...? really? top back court in the NBA....both starters shooting awful so bench just one? the truth is, its beena tough couple of weeks...we]ll see what happens when they get home... Lin isnt going anywhere...Beverly is not as good as Lin and likely never will be....take it easy everyone

He is a devout Christian. He is not good at deceiving or "drawing" a foul. His foul only comes from by taking a real hit oftentimes hard hit. It's always been that way. The kid is not smart when it comes to intentionally seek fouls by initiating light body contact like what Harden does all the time.

The only thing I learned from this game is that we are barely better than the bobcat.

    :(

Lin does much better driving off a closeout or a PNR. He does not do well in isolation. Yeah you don't want to isolate all the time but sometimes it's unavoidable. He often drives, gets stopped, then passes to someone else with the shot clock running down.

He also has trouble bringing the ball up under pressure. Which is why they're making Harden do it. We shouldn't have to have Harden bring the ball up.

I'm a Lin fan...but his handles need work. Period.

He did in the Mavs game after he hurt his ankle. He drove to the rim with the intention of drawing a foul. And he got it every single time. He needs to do it more. The way he draws the foul makes him look unstoppable and Mavs tempo was completely killed because they didn't know how to stop him.

D'Antoni's system without the complexity or subtlety of D'Antoni's play sets. The difference is that D'Antoni is widely acknowledged to be one of the best X's and O's offensive coaches in the NBA.

McHale, Bickerstaff, Finch and Sampson? Not so much.

Take a look at these examples of D'Antoni offensive sets. Notice the picks, double and triple screens, flashes, curls, and reverses.

Now tell me how much that looks like what the Rockets run? Not very close at all.

More often than not, the ball handler brings it up, dumps it on a hand off, with some weak perimeter passing going east/west, with a few chained drives to see if the defense collapses, with a final kick out to the perimeter or a drive into the trees.

Yes, D'Antoni's offense relies a lot on perimeter shooting for spacing, however it's more than just having 3 point shooters, it's also about forcing defensive movement and adjustments to create strong/weak side advantages and forced switching to create mismatches.

We went away from the run and gun. I guess Mchale is uncomfortable w/ it.

That's the only time I see him doing that. Maybe he starts to realize that or Firedman told him to do that because I saw Friedman's tweet suggested him "to initiate contact". ;) I really hope he can study Harden's tape to learn form How Harden gets his fouls. Harden's way of drawing fouls makes him almost undefenable according to Philly's ass coach :p

Maybe they should send Lin back to the D league to light it up and improve his confidence.

Trade Lin for Pau gasol. Lakers don't even want gasol, but Morey did.
