Sometimes it's not about who the better player is but who the better fit is. Lin's biggest problem besides long distance shooting is his defense aganst the more athletic point guards. We have seen point guards torch him most of the year. Lin just does not have the lateral quickness to stay in front of them.

i would like to see him get more PT. Mchale was hard on the team in previous seasons benching non productive players. Now it seems he is sticking to normal rotations instead of playing productive players more often. I would like to see beverly get a start in the next game against ty lawson. His confidense will grow which will make him shoot the ball even better as well as get more assist. He is the best ballhandler easily on the team but we have yet to see his effectiveness when playing more than 15 minutes

I think it's a good comparison, except for personality. Armstrong always had the rep of having good character. Beverley was known as maybe the dirtiest player in Europe.

Dirtiest player in Europe? Where did you here that? What did he do to be considered dirty?

I didn't here it. It was just his rep. The reason was that he often tried to injure other players during games, and he was successful several times.

I seriously don't even care. I'll take the Bruce Bowen of point guards if that's what it takes at this point.

Could be a cultural thing. Just because people in the States take personal hygiene seriously doesn't mean other countries' takes on it are wrong.

As is quickly becoming a cliche' in this board, the sample size is small. Before we know it he'll be in one of those All Spice "Believe in yoursmelf" commercials.

    Nice comparison actually.

Beverley does seem to get feisty and tangled up in stuff, can see how he'd have potential to be called a dirty player. But when its "OUR" dirty player, it seems to be alright

(Its NOT saying Beverly is dirty, don't know enough about him)
