Im a fan of the First 48 and i was wondering if any of you guys watch it. Its crazy that most of the recent episodes most of the crimes were in Houston i was just wondering if any of you guys watch it
I dig the show, but I don't go out of my way to watch it. If it is on, and I'm bored I'll watch it... I just can't get myself to setup the DVR for a show about people being actually murdered. I like to think when I don't see an episode, the people live
It is actually humbling to watch, because we all live our lives in denial that stuff like that really happens... but when you see Houston, and people are dead near a place you've been or go it makes it more real. It makes me angry really, and gives me a different perspective as to what we are doing to end the violence.
They have already shown 2 episodes in the neighborhood I use to live in and where my dad currently lives in. It's crazy that some people are willing to murder someone for as little as 20$.
I LOVE the first 48. One of the episodes featured the father of one of the little girls from a summer camp I do every year.
This.... Why I got out of criminal law..... You have no idea how many violent crimes happen that you never hear about or are never reported.... Further, I cannot tell you how many people get away with horrible crimes.... I would say that 75% of terrible crimes are never solved or reported.
I like seeing the "After the first 48" they show the update and the judicial process including the verdict and sentencing from the trial, its interesting.
My cousin is the prosecutor in the Katy murder. Those shows are cool to watch every now and then, but they end up weighing heavily on my mind and that's not very enjoyable.
