i know texans blew out the ravens during the REGULAR season, but man, baltimore look much better than the texans in the playoff, which is what matters more.

and the way flacco is playing so far against the pats makes schaub an aging qb who's just not used to the big stage. Hell even his owner hinted that bout schaub.

Our fallback was always "well, we got the top record" but it didn't meant squat. Texans = pretenders all along. Ravens = contenders.

The Ravens got lucky with some horrible decisions by the Broncos... and they got Brady/Belicheck to tighten their sphincters enough to be outcoached and outplayed.

Zero people in here were calling the Ravens "contenders" before this game... let alone before this playoffs.

If our goal next year is to be "better than Baltimore"... we need better goal-making. The Ravens are NOT the class of the conference... but they sure as hell do matchup well against the Patriots.

Maybe the other contenders should collude to ensure that the Ravens and Pats always play in the playoffs prior to the conference championship... the Broncos/Texans can't beat New England, but they'd do fine against Baltimore on most occasions.

I guess the Texans CAN beat an ELITE team.

You don't need an elite qb to win. You just need a confident one/one that won't throw it away at the slightest hint of pressure.

Joe Flacco is not any better than Schaub. It just goes to show that the Texans can go to the Super Bowl with Schaub.

Most of the fans who want Schaub gone are the slower crowd who are just realizing Kareem Jackson is an above average corner, and who think that Gary Kubiak should be fired, etc. etc.

flacco has outplayed brady in back to back years, outplayed manning all on the road. he also has tools that schaub doesn't possess..

He plays with no fear in the playoffs. Schaub doesn't. Schaub can make the throws that Flacco makes, he's just not confident enough.

He certainly steps up his game in the playoffs... but this is the same QB who got outplayed by Charlie Batch a few weeks ago.

There's not much separation between Flacco and any of the other QB's not named Rodgers-Manning-Brees-Brady. He's also never going to be confused with the new hybrid breed of QB.

The point is that you don't need a super-human QB to win... but you do need solid play in the playoffs.

uhh Flacco has good arm strength and Schaub most certainly does not. Schaub has a terrible long ball.

That's true but they are not THAT far apart. Flacco looked really bad at times in the regular season. He elevates his game in the playoffs though. Schaub just plays scared and conservative, especially in the playoffs
