It should also be pointed out that Pollard is playing next to Ed Reed in Baltimore, I'm sure that has a bit to do with his success.

Pollard's coverage was terrible last year, but let's face it everything associated with the defense last year was terrible. The year before was better and he's done a decent job this season. I liked Pollard, because he had an attitude and gave the defense a mean streak they never had before this season.

Because we don't have Ed Reed to cover for his bad coverage.

His coverage skills weren't up to what was needed. Wade having experimented in Dallas for so many years knew Pollard wasn't the guy and even with Quin moving back to safety, they had to go get someone with better coverage skills, especially for the amount he probably would have warrented in pay.

Simple as that. Most on the team's defense probably still love the guy but it is a business first.

Sorry, this one's still in the "good riddance" category.

He does fine when all he's tasked with is hitting people in the head.

We needed him to do more than that. The Ravens, however, do not.

The Texans don't realize that you need a little bit of attitude on your team. You need some bad asses and some knuckle heads. Look at all the good teams, they all have a healthy mix of attitude guys that set the tone, most of the time they're on defense

Oh but Bernard wasn't brought back because his coverage is horrendous. Manning is pretty sketchy in coverage to but better than Bernard but damn I love watching him lay vicious hits, its a thing of beauty

    ?

Manning is above average in coverage and lays the wood nicely too.

Difference is, Manning doesn't draw flags when he does it.

people forget that ed Reed covers the entire field and any body of water near by, so when one of your safeties does that you can have the luxury of having a head hunter like BP.

OOoops, I did it again, old thread that was bumped. =(

Stop the nonsense J.J Watt is a sweetheart. Cushing is the only guy with attitude on the whole team

LMAO. Wow, you're reaching for something to b**** about or blame if you think JJ is anything but an absolute badass terror with swagger to spare on the football field.

With crippled kids, he's a sweetheart, otherwise he's trying to cripple opponents.

JJ openly mocks his opponents midgame, spit and stomped on the Patriots logo midfield, and leads the team in all pregame rituals/rallies.

    Who is the alpha again?

You don't have to be a douchebag off the field to be a bad ass on it.
