I love how Royce is the one concerned about defamation.

He really does live in a world where truth is purely relative.

Oh MAN. Not Bryant Gumbel... we really don't need this to go into a "what if he was white" wild fantasy direction..

You guys are missing the option that he could be both mentally unstable AND a scam artist. If he is not a scam artist, at the very least he is trying to orchestrate one of the most elaborate subversive campaigns against a well-intentioned employer ever known..

3rd player off the bench. Really?

He looked like the most talented player in the entire NCAA tournament to me. (Anthony Davis' size not withstanding)

I saw him being a great 6th man at worst and a 3rd team all-nba guy at best.

    Definitely a scam artist.

He makes a point from the HBO snippet somewhere along the lines of comparing his disability to a physical limitation, only " you can't see it. There is no swelling. It's not purple. Blah blah blah."

This is a good point, but what he doesn't realize is that this same reasoning is what got him drafted in the first place. If his disability would have manifested itself physically(a la Jared Sullinger for example), GMs would have had an easier time passing on him. But, instead, he tells Morey that he is ready to be a NBA player and here we are.

Royce is not Martin Luther King. He's more like a cross between Steve Martin and King Ludwig II.

One of Ludwig's most quoted sayings was "I wish to remain an eternal enigma to myself and to others."

Someone should compare him to Jesus, how he's sacrificing himself for the Rocket's sins. Let's see him retweet that lol

    Or compare him to Ghandi.

They're mutually exclusive, per my definition (or at it pertains to this situation), at least.

One day, there will be a 30 for 30 on Royce White.

I wonder who's more messed up in the head, Royce or Manti Te'o.

I'm not sure if I believe that Royce is a full-fledged scam artist; but I am very sure that he knows exactly what he is doing, attempting to build a case and manipulate everyone around him. The part I'm not clear on is what his true motivations are; I know he thinks they are noble. I believe he started out with noble intentions and has slowly expanded the scope of his cause far beyond reality.

Maybe he's afraid to see another psychiatrist cause they'll find out that he's faking it....

Morey is frustrated with the way Royce has done a 180 from the pre draft interview he had with the organization. I hope something can be done but it looks like this season is lost with trying to get Royce to play.

He is not a scam artist, but he is not totally unaware that he as committed wrongs. If the letter is accurate, White knows he should not have lied about his condition.

He is just crazy, more than anything. But he still has the same many moral failings many people have. His crazy just compounds it all.

I see what he did along the lines of Sam Bowie's recent admission that he went through draft preparation with pains in his knee and his thwt fact from teams so his draft stock would not tank. White understated his condition to teams. Now his crazy is taking over. He just wasn't so crazy as to not know he had to wait until the contract was signed to shaq't a fool.

Why compare him to a fictional character?

of course Daryl is frustrated. Every time he does an interview and the hosts ask about Royce, his tone changes and sidesteps the question like he is avoiding an offensive foul.

It's not looking good for White as a rocket right now.
