I think Randolph is a REALLY good player, but he's 31. If they go after him they have to make something happen very soon.
Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld with a similar tweet about half an hour ago. Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA Source says that the Memphis Grizzlies may keep Rudy Gay, and instead trade Zach Randolph to the Houston Rockets. Houston loves Randolph.

it seems as if we are interested in all pf. which is weird considering how many pfs Morey has drafted in the past few years
Well, drafting is a bit of a crap shoot. Morris and Patterson haven't exactly been great lately. One can only speculate on how D-Mo is doing. And Royce White is a write off right now as far as I'm concerned until proven otherwise. I could see our PF's playing the back up role to ZBo for a few years. Let's not forget the timing of all the contracts... Asik - 3 years Lin - 3 years Zbo - 3 years It does line up fairly nicely...
Lets see... The Rockets are on a long losing streak and need a power forward. Lets see... The Grizz ownerships mandate is to get below the luxury tax and offered Gay with little interest. Sounds like a perfect manufactured story. Other ones we are sure to hear are: Boozer to Houston Feel free to add..
I think it depends on what Memphis wants. If it is just a salary dump, then I am sure Morey would be interested. Although I think it is stupid, I can see Memphis deciding to hold onto Gay and Gasol based on their age and move the older Randolph.
did you see the finals last season or shoud i post hardens stats against miami? Unlike most here that never heard of Greg Stiemsma, I pay attention to all the teams in the league regardless of what houston is doing. Did you know bulls and griz was on NBA TV while houston game was on? Check out that games line especially randolph
Randolph for Patterson, Douglas, and some 2nd rounders. Remember that the Grizz are just looking for cap relief, not necessarily equal value.
I like this. Get Zach for these 3 years, compete, he'll expire at the same time with Lin and Asik, then target Love and Rondo or some other combination. It makes sense.
