'Muslim Patrol' vigilantes attempt to control London streets

    Thugs masquerading as 'Muslim Patrols' have been accosting residents in London, demanding they abide by the laws of what they deem a 'Muslim area'

    The Commentator has found evidence of self-styled 'vigilantes' patrolling streets of London, accosting women and vandalising public property. The group, which is attempting to cordon off 'Muslim areas', has dubbed itself 'Muslim Patrol'.

    So far, the group has posted two videos to its new YouTube account which was set up in December 2012. The first video shows the destruction of advertising and vandalising of bus shelters, both displaying images of H&M push-up bras. The second video sees the 'vigilantes' approaching and harrassing members of the public for either consuming alcohol, dressing 'inappropriately', or being inebriated near a mosque.

    Several of the videos uploaded to the account have already been removed as they violated YouTube's terms and conditions. One specifically states that YouTube deemed it intentionally "designed to bully, harrass and threaten".

    The footage is likely to have come from East London, where 'Shariah zones' were set up last year. The new tactic of intimidation is said to appall local residents, who will likely find the 'patrols' disconcerting.

    In the videos, the 'Muslim Patrol' is heard to say, "Alcohol banned. This is a Muslim area. Muslims patrol the area."

    One young woman, when confronted by the patrol, states, "I am appalled, this is Great Britain", to which the authors of the video are heard to remark, "We don't care. It's not so Great Britain".

    Those involved are thought to be a part of an extremist network in East London and not linked to the wider Muslim community in the local area.

    Right? I think he turned to fundamentalism after the powers that be at Notre Dame told him he was too large to fit into the leprechaun costume.

    Would not be thrilled with this were it near my home. Honestly, not thrilled with it anywhere. You have no authority to act like this...you're thugs. Go away.

    They'll continue to take over, as they have in France. They're aggressive while the masses are passive, it's just a matter of time.

    Europe's got more problems with the far right, some of whom are actually getting elected into office, or coming close to presidencies (Hello Golden Dawn, and Marine le Pen).

    It's why, for example, Zenit St. Petersberg can't have nice things such as black or Muslim soccer players, because their fans are too busy writing death threats to those players.

    The far right, of course, thrives on this notion that the Muslim minority poses some grave threat, and that Europe is too "passive".

    These Muslim extremists are clearly in the minority and stand no chance of parliamentary power.

    Though one could certainly wish that all the brands of extremists in Europe could just collide against one another, and then---good old secular European values would come right out again.

    Almost as bad as fundamentalists changing history and science textbooks. I agree with ATW, this is some crazy talk. Too bad we elect these types of fools to office here in the US

    Almost as bad? Really... they are basically trying to outlaw drinking, same sex relationships and anything else they deem wrong and you're comparing that to science text books, really?

    You're clearly showing your bias here. Christians wanting to have creationism as part of the curriculum isn't the same as silencing an entire gender, freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Give me a break.

    The difference is that these people don't have power, they're just nutjobs on the streets. I judge things based on impact: the Christian crazies are ACTUALLY doing harm.

    Why is it bad to say both are bad?

    where are the Muslims in this thread? why does a subset of your constituency do crazy ****?

    and how come leadership doesn't speak out in the media?


    don't say they don't let you.. maybe the leadership just doesn't care enough to try that hard

    What diversion tactics?

    These guys are s**theads, we all live in a Western liberal democracy, what else is there to say about this topic?

    It's like posting about neo-Nazis beating on blacks. Unless you want to stand there handjobbing each other about how bad that is (duh), then there's no point to discuss it.

    They're an extremist minority. boo. okay, cool. What else is there to look at?
