That's probably so true. I saw Lin throw an interception intended for 2pat, and Pat Beverly and Harden did the same thing, throw a couple of picks to the corner. It's the SAME EXACT PLAY. I can totally see the coaching staff give Lin an earful but not Harden.

goddamnit, harden needs to STOP JACKING when he doesn't have it going. he's forcing the issue when he doesn't have to. and jeremy lin should be FINED $10000 every time his backup attempts more shots than he does. utter bull****. impose your game and believe in your game or let beverley start and you come off the bench. i'm a huge JL fan and i believe he will be steve nash like in a few years btw. morris and ppat are playing so soft they're like furry ******* baby hamsters. START D-MO! what do we have to lose? mchale sucks as a game coach and that is a straight up fact.

Exactly- What we've being seeing out of JLin and now Beverly is clearly coming from the coaches. So if people are going to complain it should be about the coaching not the PG's

Lot of his struggles is bricking beyond the arc....he needs to utilize that mid range shot....he's pretty effictive at it. Must be a coaching thing...

Lin was actually very effective from the outside tonight. In fact, I think all his misses were at the rim. I don't understand why he didn't shoot the ball more

I'm not a McHail fan too, but I especially dislike Sampson, so I wouldn't mind new coaches; however, I want to see the Rockets in the playoff, so I definitely do not want to see them lose like this - it's pretty depressing actually.

He is CLEARLY just doing what coaches want. How many shots he takes, where he takes them from, when to pass, how to defend, this is all from coaching... you think if McHale didn't want him to do any of the things he does by now, Lin wouldn't have changed? This is ALL McHale, and this useless defense is ALL Sampson. Please, it's time for Finch to take over.... get these guys outta here.

maybe your right... In this past Losing streak i see him taking that kind of shot in garbage time and it keeps on falling.. I don't know why MChale don't want him to take that shot..

im not convinced lin's shot is busted this season. people see his missed spot 3s and think his mid range is just as bad. the truth is that the shots that he is actually good with, mid range, he doesnt even attempt them. why? the offense is opposed to these types of shots. imo on a drive where he may beat his defender, as the lane collapses, he doesnt think "ok now i can turn to my mid range game", instead he thinks "play within the system, find the open man behind the arc". listen to his interviews and he always talks about "buying in to the system". so he tries his best to do what is asked of him, even if it aint his game... everybody here judges him for that, but his body of work, some of which we've seen in ny, is much more than the spot 3s and kamikaze drives to the rim that we've seen all season...

This dumb idea that Lin is being forced to defer to Harden is starting to piss me off. And it's always coming from the same people. Have you ever considered that coaching AND Harden would prefer not to be overused and depended on to do most the scoring? Some of you have this superhuman perception of Lin like he is incapable of lacking confidence or he's never afraid to shoot or drive, so you blame everyone else. All those times he drives and has no where to go, gets stripped, or gets stuffed, is that because he's distracted by Mchale and Harden screaming to him to pass the ball? The ignorance in here is unfricknbelievable these days.

probably because stats-wise the long 2 and mid 2 would be less efficient shots... but the Pacers were just waiting for Harden and Lin at the rim making the at the rim shots difficult tonight.

    PPAT 1/8 and MM 0/5 ????

The Rockets' PF is not good.

Why Harden missed so many shots ?

Then why did the offense look EXACTLY the same when Beverly was in the game?? He also gave the ball to Harden after crossing mid court

Learn from glorious rocket robert horry, mr. lin. There was a quote that always stuck with me from robert horry after the failed detroit trade, " If I miss what's the worse they can do to me, trade me?"

In other words, f' what the coaches say or do and just take the shot. If you get benched, they were going to bench you anyways. just no threes please.

Didn't get to see the game, thank God. Why isn't Douglas in the box score? Is he hurt?

It will probably take McHale another 15 games to figure out how to fail miserably with Patrick Beverley. Until then, Keep doing what you do well, young man, before your coach figures out what you do well and give you an ear full every time you try to do it.
