I'm not trying to be knee jerk. I know we're around 500 while being the youngest team in the league, and that's not nothing. But I think something's got to change. We'll likely end up at 14 again and while we are in a much better place than last year (we finally have a star to build around) I think it's time to take risk and shake things up. We know what guys like Pat and Morris are. I think we know what Lin is. But we don't know what Greg smith is. We don't know what Dmo and Jones are. We need to clear out some of the guys who aren't part of our future, and take a risk on players with high celings like Bledsoe. It's time to take a chance.

and where is Douglas? that guy is our best spark off the bench. highest 3pt % . . . not even a minute? bring him in at the 2nd half.. or whatever, Douglas 15min can give you 2-3 made shots! a steal and good D.

Agreed. The weakest link is still the 4 spot:
Lin - Minus scoring consistency, he still hustles and getting rebounds, assists, and steals.
Harden - Consistent scoring, rebounds, assists, and steals.
Parsons - Can put up points, good all-around defender, and hustles for rebounds and gets a few steals.
Asik - Decent points some nights and consistent on the board.
Patrick/Morris - Hasn't been doing much of anything consistently lately.

When the defense reads Harden like an open book, rockets need to stop running the offense through him. The rockets few buckets in half court sets came when they ran picks for the ball handler. Why didn't the coach call for more pick n roll plays in the 4th?

its a mix of both. he is asked to play a system, that he doesnt really fit in, and he has no other choice really but to try to play within it. also being known as "turnover prone" and "not a real pg" he does seem a little timid and/or tries to force passes when he could just shoot it... frustrating...

McHale: Jeremy, you're already way past your shooting limit for today. Stop taking away James' shots. Chandler, Paul George is killing us out there. I know it's a tough assignment but you gotta defend both your guy and Harden's.

Coaches probably gave him an earful during a timeout for taking that shot rather than going to the rim or kicking it out for a 3:)

No, when you take a guy that hasn't started and ask him to score 26 points, set screens, run the offense and consistently play him 40+ mins in the first of back to backs, regardless of the score ... A funny thing happens, he hits a wall and you go on a losing streak!

Lol I was thinking the same, the lame coach finally realized it wasn't the PG play that wasnt working, it's the damn differing to Harden killing the team. Especially true when you have Paul George shutting Harden down. Run plays Coach!

I saw the Vipers game last night. They blew out the Reno Bighorns. T Jones had a good game.

    27 points on 9-14 shooting; 8-10 free throws; 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, 1 turnover, 3 personal fouls

And I don't think he even played the last quarter. Game before that he scored 23 pts and had 8 rebounds.

Agreed. Plus, there is the fact that he is still struggling with his shooting, which lowers his confidence even more. Some people expects him to just drive every time he gets the ball, but the problem is if they know you got no jumper, they'll just clog the paint. Only with effective jumpers, will the lane open up more and that's where he can make easier layups. And with time, I believe Lin's jumper will come.
