The rest of the league has figured out how to play the Rockets. When will McHale figure out how to re-adjust?

I don't think it's just the lack of productivity from our PF position.

How long did you guys honestly think it was going to take the league to figure out the Rockets' garbage offense ?

I agree iso plays failed miserably. They need to run pick n rolls instead. The spacing and iso plays we're not going to work against the pacer defense. Killing ball movement is Kobe's signature, Harden is not Kobe, Kobe has so many more moves and it doesn't necessarily help the lakers when he scores 40 and still lose the game. The coach needs to start coaching and react, stop using harden to bail you out when the opposing D knows how to stop him. Run some plays please.

He knows how to do that. Look at last year. He's been brainwashed by McFail and Sampstinks to "just facilitate Jeremy, just facilitate".

he knows how do it.. but the rockets offense is just shooting 3s and a driving to the lane.. look how good is the 1st shot lin take its a pull up jump shot from pat2 pick.. but i don't know what happened suddenly he didn't take another of that the rest of the game..

    When will the bleeding stop?

Yet another nightmare game for James. I know McHale doesn't give a damn about running them to the ground because they're "young" but if he doesn't monitor his minutes at least on back2backs, he'll continue having nights like these. SMH.

Lin was having a really good game, and actually making his shots. Not sure why he suddenly stopped shooting? :( And why are we so hesitant to give the boy a screen? I know yall seen that play where Lin was asking for one and no one came forward lol he had to try to beat his man off the dribble.

And again our PFs suck. I wonder if Jeremy and James cry themselves to sleep wishing they had a good post player to help them. Every night our guards have to help out against the opposing team's threatening post player that they give up their own man for open 3's. This team needs a player like that who demands that respect and gives us more open looks.

Aside from continuing to force a bunch of shots that just weren't there, this is the other thing that's been bothering me about James as of recent. I need him to stop looking uninterested when he doesnt have the ball and move around.
Again all of this is on McHale, so Im not even hating on James.

Lin was 3rd in the league last year in jumpers off the dribble...unfortunately our coaching staff does not believe in that type of shot

GameScore is a metric that helps you determine how much an individual player contributed to their team in a single game. It was created by John Hollinger of ESPN and Memphis Grizzlies fame.

The formula for GameScore can be found here: http://www.basketball-reference.com/about/glossary.html

I have a script the calculates it since no site provides real time updates on this stat and the basketball-reference site takes almost a day to update their GameScore info.

run n gun is predicated on turning defense into offense. when our d sucks and they score, run n gun is useless. when they miss and they have bigs that can out rebound us for an offensive re, run n gun is useless. when we do get the re, but their gameplan is to give up the re and get back on d early, run n gun is useless. run n gun is also useless in the playoffs cuz the games are more half court based vs good defenses.

he's probably still hearing that same old defer to Harden bs from the coaching staff. It's so irritating to see him just surrender the ball to Harden and watch an iso play (that usually fails cause he's off game or tired) unfold, again and again. Wish somebody on the pacers would smack Lin on the head or roll his ankle, seems like that's the only time he wakes up, j/k. :p

    Mchale at emergency team meeting...
"No more run and gun! It's too effective and fun to watch! ISO or you will face my wrath."

    Sound right?
Or maybe just the guys are tired and teams have adjusted to us?

Look at the bright side, if we dont expose our weakness now (PF, coach, bench...), nothing would happen by trading date line. I think its perfect time to have losing streak. Daryl will definetely do something about it. He's not stupid....

Jeremy... forget about the coaches. Focus on the Win! Go HAM for freakin sakes! Get the ball and run the play!

earlier in the game I like beverley manning it up.. bringing the ball and running plays. very nice to see... then a missed catch by Asik (pass thru his freakin hands) . .. some more plays... and then Beverley pass to harden at half-court! harden PG, Beverley running around... clunk.. back on defense... repeat! Now, the way I look at it.. it is the FREakin way the coaches wants them to Play! SMH!

Well, even if we were tired and teams have adjusted to us, shouldn't we win like by 10 instead of by 30? Right now we're losing by 10-12 points. I don't think other team's defensive strategy is genius to swing us back 40 points!

Indiana was playing Lin, Harden and the paint very aggressively in the 2nd half. It's VERY easy to do when the PF's can't hit the broad side of a barn. Toss in that Harden could barely hit a shot.

Lin took what the defense was giving him... open passes to his team mates.

On the defensive end our PF's were clearly over matched. Lack of weak side help, way too many fouls, and had a tough time giving West OR Paul George anything remotely resembling a tough time.

Lin and Harden have 2 sides to their game... penetrate to score, and penetrate to pass. If the guy you pass to can't sink a bucket, they're pretty much screwed.

The difference was Harden pushed it (and kept missing or made turnovers), and Lin didn't push it (passed to Team mates who kept missing or made turn overs for him).

Neither of them were in a great situation, especially considering Harden was in for 41 minutes and Lin has been averaging 37 minutes this month.

They need help out there, and it has to be more than it is now. You know it's bad when Delfino becomes the 4 when we have FOUR PF's on the roster.

Hell Yes! Defer to harden BS Coaching guide... it happened to Beverley too. Then he took him out because he is not anymore effective. How can he be effective if he is NOT running the play... SMH!

If you put it that way, perhaps this losing streak does have a silver lining.

During the winning streak, Morey thought this team might be stable... why trade when ppl were talking about catching Memphis. Wow that seemed like ages ago.
