I checked the Googles and could not get a solid answer. It would not make sense to have guns be legal and to have a defense against gun illegal. This makes the only defense against a gun . . . another gun. Is that right? I would feel more comfortable with the Teachers having bullet proof vest than having guns! Hell on a boat you have lifepreserves for every kid on the field trip If we so concerned about kids in schools. .. how about having some advanced body armor for each kid to be handed out if a madman runs into the school. IT is a truly defensive device . . . why would it be illegal? Rocket River
What even makes you think they are illegal? But in any case, there is no bulletproof vest for your head.
My understanding is that generally if you can legally buy a gun you can legally buy vest. I know felons can't own them, and I'm sure some individual states make it harder to buy body armor than others.
There's a company that sells bullet proof clothing, so no they aren't illegal. But I doubt they would be effective against a raging maniac firing an Ar 15.
You can't plan for these spontaneous shootings unless you wore body armor literally everywhere. Also yes, body armor won't stop you from getting killed by a raging maniac with an AR-15.
He wore a bulletproof suit at his inauguration. Not sure outside of that how many times he wore a bulletproof material of some sort.
I may or may not own one. They aren't illegal at all and to the poster that said they can't stop assault rifle bullets: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en...1772.8j8j1.17.0.les;..0.0...1ac.1.lfVHWBwsAME I may or may not have bought a rifle plate for my equipment but it's heavy as ****.
not about to buy some advanced armor for every kid in school because of one kid on drugs with access to an army supply store. Ain't nobody got money for dat. We really need two Americas if this is what some of you want to pay for.
Not in Houston. My buddy has one, though hes never worn it. you just got yourself put on some FBI/Sercret Service watch list.
I am pretty sure they are legal (not prohibited by the law expressly). The bulky ones cops use are really that conformtable. The fashionable ones celebs use (with lightweight materials) are very expensive.
I have several, and yes they are legal. I wear them when I hunt. I will take someone one shooting an assault rifle at me in a crowd over some legal hand guns. I know many people mean well, but I do not think the assault rifle ban will make much difference. You can do a lot of damage with a few hand guns. I think we would be better off educating people about guns and taxing them at a higher rate and using that money on gun violence.
Even if a weapons ban is passed, garage fabricated hand guns and assault rifles will be plentiful. It's not rocket science.
