Time for them to trade Gortat, cut payroll, and tank. Get on this Murray!

    Hold up guys,
what the hell do we need Gortat for
Omer is better than him defensively, Greg Smith is a better rebounder and dunker.

Do we really need another big man shooting jumpshots, dont we have ppat already

Gortat isn't much of a jump shooter, really. He excels as a roll man in the pick&roll and would fit well with Harden and Lin. Can hit the occasional jumper and is OK on the block.
He'd likely improve this team's offense, but I don't think he's quite as good on defense and on the boards as Asik, so we'd likely take a hit in those departments.
I've always been a fan of Gortat's, but I don't really buy the "rumor". I probably could talk myself into it if it didn't came from Steve Kyler.

how did u know, are you the one spying on me.

    Omer is better than Gortat.
Gortat would be an expensive backup C, while Greg Smith is serviceable.
Do u want Gortat b****ing here like he was in Orlando playing behind Dwight, and that was dwight, this is Omer

The Rockets need post players that can pass and finish well. Asik is an elite rebounder, defender and has great size... but he is not great for the system Finch wants to run.

Someone on these boards pointed out that Gortat had a very productive 2011.

Yes. BTW, I think that fruit roll up looking edible top your wearing just doesn't cut it.

Please stop making stuff up about Gortat "b****ing" about playing behind Dwight. The only person that b****ed about being on that team was Dwight!

You wouldn't play Gortat behind Omer you'd slide him to the PF spot and let him play from the post or even run the p&r from the elbow with Harden/Lin, Gortat is a much better finisher than your highlights from Youtube show.

His defense is fair-good. He's not spectacular or shut down but he does proivde blocks and rebounds at a decent contract as well.

Good riddance Gortat said no to us because now we have Omer, and Omer is better defensively than him, way better.
He will develop offensively on his own pace.
I wouldn't bench Omer for Gortat and i doubt Gortat would agree to come off the bench again. He even had a problem with backing up Dwight in Orlando and you think he would be cool with backing up Omer

Man...... CH you do not know what you have just done.......... this thread will EXPLODE once word gets out you want Dragic to run the point.

In all seriousness, I am fine with Lin over Dragic.. I think Lin will be a better player than Dragic IF he can become a better shooter.

I would like Gortat if we can get him on the cheap. He and Asik would play better together than people think. Gortat can also play some 4.

    Omer is not a pf.
And yes he was b****ing about being backup and having Dwight literally play the whole game while he got 2 minutes here and 3 minutes there which was what started all the rumors about us trading for him.
End result, Orlando traded him to avoid losing him for nothing because he told them he was not coming back to a backup role.

    wtf

phoenix suns have nothing we want.
we should not be buying anything they are selling.
Not even Dragic, if lin doesn't pan out. let beverly earn the job.

Just cos there is a sale, doesn't mean you have to buy anything.
