Controversy averted: Chris Paul voted in over Jeremy Lin in 2013 All-Star Game

Well, I'm not Torocan and don't know enough about the subject to say yay or nay, so I'll leave that to him to answer. But, he's usually very logical and sensible, and uses stats to back him up quite a bit. Quite far from delusional, at least most of the time.

 

When LOF's start trashing the team and the organization to prop up Lin, that's when I start to get pissed off.

Its also annoying that they think that Lin should be the first option or that they think if only if he was given the green light he could become an all time great.

I was player fan too, I loved Vernon maxwell. Even then, I didn't think someday he would be the GOAT.

 

I don't think many Lin fans are butt hurt about him missing out on the all star game. Most would say CP3 is better and more popular than him and its not a big deal he missed out.

I do see that Lin fans are a bit mystified by so called Rockets fans gleefully celebrating his exclusion from the game. The all star game has been nothing but a glorified exhibition game showcasing the leagues best or popular players. Its a crap "game" and does not excite any fans over the age of 10.

Comparing a potential story of Lin making the all star game to a cheat like Armstrong or liar like Te'o is a bit over the top but I think may be true for a different reason. The Te'o story was a big red mark on sporting journalist integrity ie there was none and they (ESPN especially) would love nothing more than something to come along so they can sweep it under the carpet. Lin making the all star would be a big story because he is so popular and garners so much attention due to his story and the media making him more than what he is.

The biggest FUBAR selection is Dwight Howard over Tim Duncan. This says it all about the NBA "All star" game.

 

The whole irony is, I don't think either Lin or Duncan mind, at all. As a matter of fact, I think Duncan may be a tad upset if the coaches voted him in.

I used to think the D&D was the place where such a high level of intellectual dishonesty existed but this thread clearly indicates that some Lin fans have their minds so warped for the love of their shrine they clearly do not see the world clearly.

How this forum would be a better place if they weren't here, and how it would make Lin less uncomfortable if they just left.

They remind me of the soccer moms in pee wee soccer that b**** about Letting little Melvin in the game so he can get more PT, with all the other kids staring at him as he gets embarrased.

Not really. Delusional thinking vs. Elistism. Hard to say but its not "way more disgusting."

 

Honestly, it doesn't matter if the All Star is in Houston or not. CP3 is a star player and he has been a big time impact for his Clippers team while Lin is struggling to be consistent... CP3 is playing like the best PG in the NBA and right now, Lin is still trying to find his rhythm.
