I can't wait to hear him explain how this was the love of his life but he never saw her in person, never skyped with her, didn't go to her funeral, she never came to any of his games, etc. and he never got suspicious. I also can't wait to hear why he and his parents thought they should lie and say that the two of them would hang out in Hawaii together.
Even if it ends up that Te'o was duped it makes the Mormon religion look naive and frankly, just plain weird. First Romney and now this.
So are you Te'o supporters just going to ignore these inconsistencies? Ignoring it doesn't make Lennay more real.
"T'eo supporters"? Really? We're lumping people into camps and taking sides already? Come on... that's lame.

what does him being stupid (if that's the outcome) have to do with the Mormon religion? I'm sure there are atheists, Muslims and Catholics who have given their money to a Nigerian businessman.
Clowny shouldn't be such a douche about all this. They are about to be in the NFL together and people don't forget things so easily.

i'm leaning he might have gotten trolled and was too embarrassed to admit so the that perpetuated a lie. serious question, does this fall into some type of criminal impersonation? especially since it was over the wire and crossing state lines. i know for a fact that some states (LA, TX, CA, etc...) have cyber bullying laws that make it a crime to be someone else online. just registering under someone else could subject to prosecution. kind of makes you wonder how all of those impersonating twitter accounts go unpunished since it is against the TOS. the only ones i've seen get shutdown are when the affected person files a complaint.
Doesn't make sense. If he got trolled, why did he make the lie bigger? Why did he lie about meeting her? Why did he lie to his parents about her hanging out with him in Hawaii? Why did he participate in the death stunt?
