LeBron reached the 20,000 Point mark as well as the 5,000 Assist mark last night against Golden State. Either one of these marks would be impressive alone, but to do so at the same time? Really speaks volumes on how LeBron plays. Pass first player who can score the basketball and take over games. Not only is James the youngest to reach 20,000 points but he also did it with the 8th fewest nba games. LeBron has joined the 20k pts, 5k assts, and 5k reb club. Members of the club include: Michael Jordan Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Karl Malone Larry Bird Oscar Robertson Jerry West Clyde Drexler Gary Payton John Havlicek Kobe Bryant Congrats to the best player in the league and probably one of the most versatile of all time Thoughts on him going 30k pts 10k assts and 10k rebs?
Yep, Hakeem had 3k assists. He did have 26k pts, 13k rebs, 3k assists, 3k blocks and 2k steals though. Really impressive #s for a C
sad that Tmac was only 1 healthy season away from joining this club. what a shame to see such a talent end because of injuries
Youngest, but not the fastest - 7 players did it in fewer games http://www.interbasket.net/news/10170/2013/01/lebron-james-youngest-fastest-nba-player-20000-points/
The "youngest to" awards are always going to be skewed for the guys that came straight from high school, so they're kind of dubious. It's still very impressive, though, especially for a guy that's seen more as a playmaker than a scorer.
LeBron is the 2nd fastest to get 20K points, 5K boards and 5K dimes (behind Oscar). It's possible for him to go down in the top 10 in points (needs around 6 more years to catch Jordan at that), assists and steals. No other wing player is in the top 10 in 3 different categories.
Not really. For him to step in and dominate from the get-go at age 18, it just shows how much his skill set was well beyond his years, and for him to be so consistently great throughout his career, it's a testament to how good he is. "Misleading" would be the word I'd use, not "dubious"
