If you checking the NBA player ranking now, 15/7/4 is enough to put him among the top 15 point guards of the league.

These are signs that the young team is still experimenting and incorporating the PNR into their games. They will be more effective and efficient doing it down the road.

Our offense should not be structured around just Harden even when he is paid 80 millions. Do you think Harden can play 48 minutes in every game and play the point guard at the same time?

Are we supposed to go with no other plans or plays when Harden go to rest in the bench?

Harden is the shooting guard, and typically the point guard should be playing more PNR than the SG.

You are confusing what had happened in the past with what should be and will be happening in the future.

As long as the coach and the players see a need for it, it will happen.

This is why human beings need insight, vision, determination and action to succeed in anything.

Fatigue is definitively one of the main reasons.

i like this team an i think we play well except being in a shooting slump...i trust in mchale cause we keep creating open looks and its just a matter of time when they will strart falling...
    besides

i know one should never wish for injuries but it would be nice harden to pause for a few games for lin to take over this team...lin neeeds to step up and stop stifling his creativity and free play team would benefit enormously if he could get freedom like westbrick....

Beverly might have over-performed tonight. But we definitely need a servicable point guard to sub Lin. Douglas is more of a shooting guard with his 3P%, and his assist ratio has been much lower than Lin's since his tenure with the Knicks. As a matter of fact, Lin got the opportunity to debut in MSG because Douglas failed as a PG.

This new and inexperienced team has to learn and integrate so much into their game in so short a time. These chaos are the necessary evil for them to try out what they have learned and practiced (hopefully) in real games.

Even though I am and will continue to push them to get better, overall I am glad they have exceeded my expectations.

Just look at the Lakers. With all the superstars and experience, they have lost 7 of the 12 games played since Steve Nash's return, mainly because they still can't get their chemistry developed to work well as a team.

Douglas had a whole season to try his hands, and he was not injured when Lin debuted. It started when STAT left for brother's funeral, Camelo sidelined for groin pain, and Baron Davis injured before he got on board.

What McHale is doing is so beyond Mike D'Antoni's SSOL System that he will never develop any one like Steve Nash and Amar'e Stoudemire.

I was away from this site for the past few games, and jumping into the game thread again, it's just the same Lin arguments being spouted ad infinitem.
It's like watchng an obsessive compulsive wash his hands.

There's so little analysis of the game left here that I can't even tell if the team won or lost, or what team they played.

Harden is the SHOOTING guard and the designated #1 option. Of course he should be shooting and scoring much more than the point guard who has other jobs to do than just scoring himself.

You have only been comparing Lin's shooting with Harden's above. The real issue here is that Harden should focus on playing well as an SG should and let Lin get more of the ball to play his part as a better PG, let alone an All-Star PG. Otherwise you are comparing orange with apple all the time.

The same restraint should go for any one not designated as the PG.

Unless we want to turn the Rockets team into a position-less squad like the Heat. Then it's gonna be a different story.

Lin actually had a shooting trainer during the offseason when he was recovering from his surgery. It seems that this trainer had changed the arc of his shots from 50 degrees of last season to 48 degrees without considering that he may not have the same strength in his knees for the lift.

Lin may need another trainer to help him make all these adjustments to bring him back to his 44.6 FG% and 32.0 3P% of last season.

It really looked to me like the pass was too hard. But I don't want to belabor that point too much. It's not what cost us the game. Turnovers throughout the game + missed free throws + missed layups are what ultimately did us in. I'm not trying to put this loss on a pass from Lin.

Ohhhh snap! You got me. I have in fact never touched a basketball. What a badass you are.

The pass was fired in there too hard. Even Hubie Brown said so, and he has - I think - touched a basketball before. Obviously you know more about NBA players than he would, but at least I'm not alone on this.

With that said, I don't want to make it seem like I'm saying that's what did us in. Turnovers, free throws and missed layups are what lost us this game.

In the end, I still count last night as a victory of sorts, since I was able to actually watch the game on TV. Hooray ESPN.

harden is barely a better shooter than lin yet he's a number one option.
