Random Houston Rockets Trade Ideas - 2012-13

I know thats right I said the same thing about Harden coming to Houston before the trade happen and then BAM !

 

let's say we give up Jones, Motiejunas, Patterson & Aldrich for expiring reasons to Utah for Millsap and Burks

 

Utah doesn't exactly have a need for 4 more big men.

 

Lets say they dont, and just sign him as a free agent this Summer. Then they can move 2 PF's(maybe Morris & 2Pat) during draft day to improve their position, acquire future picks, or acquire a high upside young wing to groom for a few years.

 

they probley would want Parsons in the deal ...which I dont lie but its possible

 

Dmo, Aldrich, Smith, NY 2nd rd picks for Gortat and Brown

Suns can tank for Noel/Shabazz/Zeller/McLemore, cut the payroll, and acquire prospects in Dmo and Smith. Aldrich is salary filler. They need to rebuild badly instead of making band-aid moves.

We can use our cap space to shore up that 4 spot with a legit P&R player (because Asik and Ppat are terrible at it) while still remaining potentially big players in the 2014 free agency. We can showcase our team to big FAs (Lebron) and get our young core team playoff experience. Brown is a spark off the bench.

Do you think the Suns would do it? Gortat's contract is up at next season's end plus he is not happy there. They get a look a Aldrich, The whole Morris brothers thing, plus Patterson. We may want to add Smith or a pick to get it done.
