Gortat? He's aging and not going to get better. I wouldn't mind having him but I wouldn't give up Asik for him, Asik has more upside and I doubt Morey would trade him for Gortat anyway.

Look, we are the youngest team right now with a new core of players, our entire roster has been revamped, we have some growing pains ahead of us. Still, looking at our record I can't help but be impressed (despite the current losing streak), I think if we can manage to stay above .500 this year it will be good and the longer we keep this core intact the better we're going to get.

I don't see how trading for Gortat would make us better, maybe in the short term but lets face it, we're not competing for a championship this year even if the NBA awarded us Gortat and Millsap on a golden plate without having to give anyone back in return.

These things take time, the Thunder stunk a year or two when they first got Durant and Westbrook. Rome wasn't built in a day, and I have seen flashes of greatness out of this young core that we have. Dirk and Duncan will be retiring soon, and once they go away I fully expect the Rockets and Hornets to take their place as class of the NBA SW division, the toughest division in all of basketball.

Gortat and Milsap. But seriously, neither one of these scenarios is in danger of happening.

We can give PHX Marcus to pair with Markieff.

We trade for Milsap who is a semi-star because we can flip him later if a big star is on the market.

PPat and Morris though are not longterm prospects for us. They are clearly limited. We need better players at the 4.

He seems to have a soft touch and a underrated offensive game, i don't know why he's not scoring more maybe its the offense, but with McHale being the coach i'm sure Gortat would be putting up more points. Which offense is what i guess you'd be worried about right. If your worried about mobility, Gortat is pretty athletic, he's even lighter then nene at only 240. I know a former rocket who was 6'11 240, jared jeffries is a example on how mobile that size and weight can be.

It's obvious you are a newer member. A couple of years ago, our biggest concern was getting "2-way players," people that could play offense and defense. Parson is invaluable because he is a great offense threat that also has the potential to shut down the elite 3's of the league.

Hustle is something stats won't tell you. In the playoffs, when parson's is going balls to the wall, he will be one of the best players on the court defensively, just like he was his entire rookie season.

Parsons D has not been the same as it was last year. It just hasn't Delfino has been defending better than him. I don't disagree that Parsons is a great hustle player but Delfino is to isn't he? Delfino is just as much of a two way player as Parsons is just slightly better. But that makes sense because Carlos is older & more experienced. But if I had to pick the two I would take Parsons everyday & twice on sunday, younger higher upside, better health record. I swear this is my third time saying this.

That's a terrible dream and I hope Parsons never gets traded. The sex appeal of our team would plummet dramatically.

Millsap is making 8m almost 9m now. He's probably not going to resign for less.

This is the worst trade for the Rockets and GM Daryl Morey. You lose Parsons when you can just wait for the off-season and try to sign Smith through free agency.

Again, i do not want the Rockets spending our remaining cap room for 4-5 years of Josh Smith. He is not the Power Forward we need. Can't shoot jumpers even if his life depended on it. He's not even a legit low post threat. And lastly, i do NOT want a power forward who shoots worse than Omer Asik at the free throw line.

"RT @lexthepex: Do you think Morey trades Parsons for anything other than a star player? ---> I don't think he trades him period."

At least for once, he could be right.

This, repped. Lin would easily have 2 more assists/game plus numerous more free lanes to the basket, i.e., better FG%. Harden would have more openings to get better shots, and a better FG%. I still love Asik though.

Will Gortat throw an elbow and toss someone on his a$$? I think the Rockets are sorely lacking in this area. Only Smith comes close. I want to puke when I see Morris and Patterson (and even Asik) try a flying wimp move to the basket to avoid contact (though Patterson is getting better of late and I like Morris' effort).
