Give the kid credit and grant him at least the first quarter remember your words you may eat them, everything is linpossible
Guarding Bledsoe isn't what has people pumped. It is Bledsoe guarding Lin that has some people on this board salivating. Apparently he will "eat him alive" "won't be able to get the ball over half court" etc
In a word, yes. He may be the toughest backup PG to guard in the league right now (sorry Lowry!). Well, I mean, if CP3 was starting and Bledsoe was coming off the bench against Tney Uglas+2Pat, then I would worry. If he was starting against Lin+Asik, then who cares?
Bledsoe is not harder to guard then Kyrie. I'm a huge Bledsoe guy but Irving is a much better offensive player
What is all this stuff about Bledsoe being hard to guard? How is he hard to guard. No way is he harder to guard than Kyrie.
I mean, seriously, can you kindly please stop disrespecting Toney like this? I'm asking kindly. If you can't, then, well, it would be good to know so I can just stop reading you. Thanks much.
lol...Lin basically did a good job on Kyrie defensively. Your saying bledsoe is better? I doubt that. Lin shut down Rondo as well. And your saying Bledsoe will be challenge? If anything maybe the ankle might affect Lin's game, but to completely factor out Lin's D is just trolling. You guys are hilarious. His offense is suffering right now, but his D has always been there. Chris Paul on the other hand...might be a problem.
They never eat their words. They just find some other thing to scorn...like the fact that he bleeds when his head is knocked. To them, that's a sign of weakness. So best you don't quote to help the rest of us from accidentally reading the comments.
LOL....these Lin can't guard "guard x" or "guard y" is getting old. Besides, CP3, Lin has faced your top guards (Rose, Westbrook, Parker, Irving, Rondo, Williams, Nash) and did well with all of them. Hmmm...there must be a reason his a starting guard in the NBA?He's only going to get better....the more you play with elite players the better you are going to get.
Yep this is what happened in Lins first year. He was no match physically then he went to Sparta sports for the off season. The result was Linsanity conditioning. This off season I think he spent too much time doing promos when he should've done another tour of duty in the gym, but the knee injury was in the way. This season, barring injury and the off season will be crucial in his long term outlook as an above average NBA player.
Exactly.... He's doing that while also maintaining a 95 defensive rankings on the Synergy stats... Looks like he's holding his own to me...
Well actually aside from a Volvo commercial and a relatively brief Asia trip, he spent most of his summer training including another stint with Sparta, where they helped him lose 10 pounds but still maintain strength. He mentioned turning down a ton of endorsements because they take too much time away from training. I can't locate the interview/video now but that's paraphrased from his words. This time if he goes into the off-season uninjured, he should be able to train a lot harder. And hey, when Lin was guarding Kobe, he couldn't hit a shot.
