I grew up and Astro's fan. I have very fond memories of listening to Milo nad the Wrangler on the radio. I have always tried to go to as many games as possible even though I live 100 miles away. Now after hearing this bull****, I am now pledging to never be an Astros fan again. I was already totally bummed out over the American League deal because I absolutely hate the DH. Now, with this crap about blocking the Direct TV deal I am officially ending my relationship with the Houston Lastro's. I always hated when people say "Lastro's" now I will be saying it myself. I hope they flounder in the AL and become perennial cellar dwellers. Screw Jim Crane and his greedy self.

I like how the release makes a big deal about how Comcast is a carrier for the network.

So you're telling me that Comcast bought in to Comcast SportsNet Houston? I am astounded by that nugget of information!

That made me laugh. Comcast thinks that Comcast Sports Net Houston is asking fair market value so they've decided to carry the channel. What a squirmy BS thing to say. Gives you insight into the kind of people in charge over there.

This is effing sad, all this time the Astros was responsible of blocking loyal rockets fans from watching their games. A new Low for Jim Crane. I will just support another baseball team and I don't even watch baseball.

pretty much. Deflecting to another franchise is pretty weak.

Rockets are as much to blame ..takes 2 to tango.

Perhaps it is true that astros killed the deal or whatever but to imply on any level that the rockets are innocent in this is straight up stupid.

As for actionable moves we should set a twitter account and do coordinated attacks like calling small business advertisers and threatening boycott. The twitter angle or sms messaging would allow for a set time and everyone call between 3- 330PM kind of thing so the advertisers phone is tied up for 30 minutes, they are getting threatened of boycott and it is generally annoying. It doesnt take much to put together a list of folks that are mad to call and calling is easier to mount than showing up and protesting. Perhaps group 1 (10-15 people )call and 3PM, then group 2 (10 -15 people) call at 315Pm and group 3 at 320PM and so on. This would be very annoying and counter productive to their business. would create a stir.

same could be done for 713 627 dunk number, same for astros, even the news channels. Doesnt require much but a text message reminding the person they are part of xyz group that needs to call xyz number at xyz time.

Lawyers of clutchfans?? advise us as taxpayers what /how much/ how hard to sign in on a class action suit? Not to make money on this situation but again to be annoying and call to notice this garbage. Bad publicity. Suing the NBA, c&d scrap metal , gallery furniture basically include anyone and everyone so that perhaps on some level folks at rockets/astros can see.

I am just throwing out ideas I am not claiming they are any good but us sitting here whining is not getting us anywhere. time to move to the action.

Can I get my name changed? Because I am done with the Astros (and really, the MLB for the most part. But specially the Astros).

From the sounds of the deal, les would get money from astros games and crane would get money from rockets games (equal to their percentages, that's sort of the point for setting up ownership structures like that), monetary wise, the issue isn't les getting screwed.

What seems to be the sticking point is Les is ok with the Direct TV offer that's been made but Crane isn't.

Adding the Dynamo, who probably get lower ratings than the Antiques Roadshow on PBS, is going to be the thing that finally convinces Direct TV and Uverse to pay their price.

This just makes my blood boil! I grew up as both a astros and rockets fan. Astros have been a big disappointment last few years but this just went to far... The nerve....

I'm not a huge astros fan, LOVE the Rockets.... I'm still going to blame Les. The astros are looking out for their best interest. The Rockets should have known better than to mix with the astros and that BS Comcast SN
