Read what I wrote carefully. I didn't say that Lin was as good on D as Lowry. I said that Morey said Lins D REMINDS him of Kyle Lowry because he is DISRUPTIVE on D just like Lowry is.

People think superstar players just dominate every single night.

They don't. Kobe often will shoot his team out of games. Lebron at times will seem too passive. Durant will watch Westbrook brick jumpers.

Yeah Crawford outplayed Harden tonight. Good for him, had a great game. Now replace Crawford with Harden straight up and this team would have around 10 wins right now.

Or when Lin scores on a drive, Bill has said, "That's what he does well"; as if he doesn't do anything else well, like assists, steals, etc..

But boy do he and Clyde gush over TD. Like at the end of the 3rd quarter tonight when TD drove through the lane and shot over someone and scored.

Clyde: "Boy he's good at that!"
Bill: "He can get that up over anyone"

Tons of praise and over-praise for TD but frequently either silence or reluctant acknowledgement for Lin when he scores.

    Just ridiculous.

Morey traded Lowry to get Dwight Howard. Instead we got Harden. It wasn't because he though Lin was a better option.

But to your point, I'm sorry for confusing your argument.

I really don't put that on McHale so much. He wants to get in the play offs and our bench is pretty shallow. It *may* improve with Beverly and Anderson, but it still doesn't resolve our back up C and PF issues.

While we're over .500, I just don't see them sitting the Starters as long as they believe they have a shot at winning a game any given night.

lol j/k I mean, none of us REALLY thought Rockets would win this one right? The Clippers just trashed the Grizzlies last night like a used condom. I was just expecting a moral victory if we didn't get blown out by 30.

I didn't even realize we went 14/25 on free throws. I guess I'm getting used to our recent suckage at them. Dont know what happened because Rockets used to be real good at them.
I'm really just disappointed at the defense in the second half. Rockets played probably the best defense I've seen from them yet in the first half. And then nothing...the inconsistency of a young team I guess :(
And again we looked real good in the 1st half when our 3's were falling and then they stopped and couldn't get nothing going. :(

I've listened to him also for a long time and I've never felt that way before. I use to love listening to he and Calvin. Also I don't think I am some fanatic for Lin, but I am just calling it the way I hear it.

Look I can take calling the team defense bad but when people try to say "oh but Lin did all he could, Harden was just Lazy", give me a break.

This. Do you guys even follow the NBA. Crawford can shoot from anywhere on the floor and, despite looking sloppy as **** half the time, can get to the basket or past his defender with ease. This was nothing new.

For the last time...Morey traded Lowry to make a play for Howard, not because he though Lin was better.

Why are you singling out the backcourt? Our frontcourt got burned too.

This whole team seems tired all the time. Asik playing like hes a wounded animal, jeremy lin walking around the 3 point line, power forward who like to take 3s and cant make them. Maybe the rockets cant play at the pace mchale wants. A good low post player would definitely help this team.

The person you replied to? and besides...it's not like the Clippers played outstanding defense...When a team shoots over 50% and over 100+ pts, it's hardly "clamping down"... Since it seems that you aren't someone who follows the Rockets very often, the problems that Torocan stated highlights a lot of the issues that the Rockets have been having all year long. The Rockets have just been able to get away with it by outscoring opponents. The Clippers just happened to expose those weaknesses out right (such as punishing turnovers by Harden and poor weak-side rotations).

On that note, if the Rockets had made a few more threes and free throws, the Rockets could have easily taken the game away from the Clippers. Also, one can't assume what a superstar will or will not do. Look Lin almost handily won the game against San Antonio, but will Harden the games weren't even close. Like it or not, neither team played great defense tonight it was that Clippers was shooting way better. Giving away 109 points to a losing team isn't much of a defense...pace or no pace.

Bill should have been fired since I started listening to him in 2002. My first year w/ league pass.

Bledsoe had a good game but dominated? Lin had a double double with less TOs. Bledsoe put up better stats overall but dominated is a stretch.

Crawford dominated the team not just James.

You forget to mention Willie Green scoring 15 or Barnes adding 18 or Blake's 19 and 8.

Poor team defense overall lost this game not just Lin or Harden being "dominated."

Morey could have fired McHale & kept Lowry no? He traded Lowry fora a pick & he robbed the Raptors because Lowry is not worth a first round pick he just isn't. He is the back up to Jose Calderon in Toronto (which I think is bull he should be starting he is better than Jose)

Listen I love Lowry too but he isn't some franchise PG that you build around. Neither is Lin. But the Rockets aren't looking for a win now PG (which Lowry is) they are building for the future. And they are taking there chance on young high upside high reward players. Whether Lin lives up to it is up for debate. Lowry is definitively the better player but in terms of what this team is trying to accomplish this season Lin makes more sense. Younger, upside etc. Don't understand why you can't just get that. And stop putting words in my mouth it is frustrating.

The fact of the matter is Lin can't play heavy minutes. He gets way too tired and loses his legs on defense.

McHale should limit Lin's minutes to 25-30 a game and stop thinking he's going to become a superstar like Steve Nash (Phoenix years). That's not going to happen.
