It's hard for anyone to shine on defense any ways when as a unit you suck on defense.

 

come on now, the same people here saying "well at least we shouldnt get blown out" are the same one who'll erupt with "we could've won this game" etc etc with blown opportunities if this was a close game.

 

Everyone chill out. And keep your ponies in your pants. Seriously, you all just need to relax!

We are just on a slump, we'll pick it back up soon now that I'm sure coach sees some true potential in Beverley running the show. Anyone who has seen him play over seas, should wonder why he hasn't been signed earlier by anyone.

Why don't we ever play D-Mo or Jones? It really bothers me. We are the youngest team, let's play everyone so we can see potential if there is any from our guys so we know who to keep and who to not "accidentally" drop when that trading time comes. We are NOT a championship caliber team yet, so lets try all of our guns, IMHO it's definitely worth a risk. I'm SURE all of you agree.

Anyways.......... just going to clear it for all you guys: Lin>Patrick>Douglas.
So who else thinks a Lin and Patrick duo on the court with Harden as our shooter, would be amazing? I think it smells really good. If PB&Jelly (Patrick Beverley) can do what he did in that 1 minute, I really want to see his energy and class with more minutes. Bad move by coach not letting Beverley "try" it out sooner than the last 1 min. 46 of the game.

Oh well, we live and learn. Let's hope for a Dallas owning tomorrow, with Patrick guarding the !@#$%^& out of Mayo, and the rest of our guys with making free throws. Please GOD, PLEASE we need to make our free throws. Oh and Harden needs to have a MUCH better game tomorrow!

Looking at what killed us tonight...

-Too many missed FT's (14/25)
-Too many TO's (4 x Asik, 5 x Harden)
-Too slow to call for double teams on Crawford. He was literally hitting everything... 5/7 from behind the arc.
-Way too many fouls from our bigs.
-Delfino was cold (2/7 from the 3 point line)
-Harden ice cold from the 3 point line (2/9)
-Too much confusion on defensive switches. Saw too many times 2 players getting crossed up onto the same guy, or no rotation to cover the corner 3 point shooters (Greene and Barnes).
-Asik's stone hands means we couldn't use him effectively. 6 shots total and 4 TO's.

Did I mention FT shooting?

Other than that, we scored pretty well. Team shot 50%. Harden had a solid offensive game other than behind the arc (23/3) and TO's (5). Lin had a solid offensive game (12 points, 5/11, 10 assists, 1 TO, 2 steals). Parsons shot well (17 points, 4 assists on 7/10 shooting).

Defense still needs work. Half court offensive sets are improving. Didn't see much transition offense which was unusual these last several games.

Definitely still a work in progress.

 

Sorry, when you contest jumpers with a hand in the face and they still make the shot, you have poor defense and are getting lit up. #eyetest

Why did the Clippers backup SG (Crawford) dominate the Rockets starting SG (Harden)?

yeah I said TEAMDEFENSE fail. no one was rotating properly.

 

Parsons was great today though. I hope he's out of his slump. He looked super comfortable out there - we play better in the games where he gets more touches.

people here are a joke.....the franchise players has a horrendous 2nd half ,8-20 overall, 5 turnovers, but all they want to point to is a hot jamal crawford who hit contested jumpers over Lin.

 

Now we know what to work at.
3p and FT.
When we can knock the 3s in the 1st half, we were within 5p and were able to lead.

 

I don't get how even after Lin gets his turnovers down, people still complain about his turnovers. He has like 2 TOTAL in the last 3 games?
