Why are you so afraid of giving clear answers to Major's reasonable questions? I've been following these threads closely and I haven't seen your answers to these questions once, much less "100 of times".
Fair enough. Since you won't clarify, I assume you either don't actually believe in the totality of the 2nd Amendment, or you think crazy people should have access to nukes. There doesn't seem to be a 3rd option. Interesting that you refuse to answer a basic question about the details of your beliefs, but you're more than willing to beat a dead horse about the 2nd Amendment and how Obama is taking all your guns away.
I would also like to see the answer to the Nuclear/Biological weapons question. Have yet to see a reasonable answer.
I've actually just read my response to a similar question. It's there, keep searching... you'll find Waldo eventually. You can assume whatever you'd like to. I'm not getting baited in to another worthless debate so you guys can circle jerk each other by calling me a right-win gun-toting nut-job racist so you can give yourselves virtual high-fives. I've been more than forthcoming with my beliefs from day one. Actually Gallup polls are quite even and have been within margin of error historically.
Are you really so big a douche that you found where you posted a clear answer to the asked question, but refuse to even link to it? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AedofJNfZvg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You linked a clip from Two and a Half men and I'm the douche? I didn't link it because it won't change their opinion of me. There's no point. I'm a Christian Conservative on the internet, this isn't my first rodeo.
You didn't link because the answer doesn't exist and you either don't feel like providing one or haven't found an acceptable one in the echo chamber to copy. Refusing to answer a direct question in a discussion board with the word "debate" in the title does indeed make you a giant douche. At worst, me posting the clip makes me a turd sandwich. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UthMHjoNyjA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
It is a debate forum, with a search function. I've debated the **** out of the topic, so enjoy your sandwich. From my second reply in this topic -
That was not an answer to the question, that was yet ANOTHER avoidance of it, if it has indeed been asked of you a hundred times over, as you claim. The non-douche move would be to answer or link to your previous answer. I believe you will continue to be a douche.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Nepysk5rOf4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> It's not my job to convince anyone of anything. Call it avoidance all you want.
I don't believe in total gun control, but I think a little regulation wouldn't hurt. Mind you, just a little. The "total gun ban" folks are truly misinformed. That said, I would like to hear the explanation for a completely free market for guns. I think the nuclear bomb question is a very good one. Could you link me to where you answered it, at least? Social Darwinism is scary, btw. Just as scary as 1984...
Nobody is asking you to convince them of anything. They are asking for a cogent answer to the asked question, it seems obvious that you don't have one and aren't even man enough to admit it.
Mainstream Christian Conservatives are very interesting to me. They often are quite outgoing with their hate for regulation, but they are the first ones in line to regulate anything that is contrary to their religious text.
I've never been in one of these "gun threads" before Buuuut I'm an Aussie. We don't have the 2nd amendment (not that I know what that is, but I'm going to assume at base level it is the 'right to bear arms'??). People can still own guns, and back in 1996 our country did away with assault rifles etc. There was a compulsory amnesty funded by a 1% tax levy. It went tremendously well, gun related crime dropped significantly, and those who wanted to own guns were still able to do so through an application system (although no assault rifle or specialist type handguns). It all happened in response to a mentally challenged person going on a shooting spree: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Arthur_massacre_(Australia) As an outsider, I see the arguments put forth by the American 'gun lobby' as selfish and irresponsible. They themselves might not have a problem with their assault rifles, but clearly they are not everyone. Just get rid of the 'big guns' and enjoy your smaller handguns - it'll be good for your country.
Isn't Dianne Feinstein really pushing gun control? hmmm <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vQMwpbSjC1A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Interested to see what happens.
Most gun crime in Australia was from assault rifles? Interesting, that's certainly not the case here. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BOmM6qBnbrI#t=3m40s" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I can't stand Obama but he's right on this issue. Something has to be done and no one is saying that citizens can't own guns. Banning Assault rifles and high capacity ammo clips needs to happen soon.
