NBA all star game volunteer

You'll be expected to endure a horrible game.

 

I applied for a job for that weekend as Talent Liaison. I was under the impression that I would be assigned a player and would be responsible for making sure that player was in the right place at the right time.

But since I've still heard nothing, I assume I didn't get the job.

 

Where do I sign up?

I signed up then saw the only two events to sign up for were just lame things in the George R Bown Convention Center. I want to be in the Toyota Center with the NBA players during the games and contests. Lame.

 

Yeah those two choices sound mega-lame. Doubt you would even get to meet any players or do anything exciting.

That being said, I signed up for two shifts one being a host and the other assisting with activities. I can always fleece out if I decide I don't want to do it, not like they can force me to volunteer.

 

If you do that I'll hold up a "Swoly = gigante verga vato" sign when NBA returns for one pre-season game in Germany later this year.

 

Players will be doing different NBA related events there(for fans).
Also, D-League allstar game should be there I believe. And perhaps the ASG practice sessions.

I think they leave that part of the job to certain folks in the NBA's media & community relations dept to do. Also, team pr/media folk from teams thats have players participating in the game will also be there to assist their players.
E.g. The OKC Thunder's PR chief and/or an assistant, will be there to go everywhere with KD, Russ (and Serge if selected) and make sure they are at the right place at the right time.

 

wonder if Harden will refer Jenna Shea to his old teammates?

Jenna Shea is gonna be making some nice $$$ that weekend you better believe it.

 

I'm guessing they already know her(or of her ) but maybe they'd rather not pay for "it". :grin:

Damn I signed up for the GRB. I didnt even notice. Well, I hope its fun. Im in there like swimwear
