Call me crazy, but there might be a chance that a white guy can play and win in the game of basketball. Just because a white guy earns a starting rotation spot over an African American does not mean that racism is involved. The last page of this thread has been nothing but pure crap.
No TJ Ford doesn't count, he got ****ed by a back spasm and was never the same, Calderon was actually better than him back in the day, he straight up out played TJ Ford in 2007 and took his job.
How the hell did this derail into a discussion about racism in sports? Do you seriously think that the Raptors have it in for Black point guards?! Are you aware that management traded a lottery pick to acquire Kyle Lowry, that they immediately played him as their starting PG to begin the season, and that Jose Calderon has been on the trading block for quite some time now?! Here are the facts - Toronto went on a winning streak when he sat. Yes, it coincided with Bargnani being out which was clearly the bigger factor but from the coach's perspective why would you then sit out Jose when your team has been winning and he has been playing well? - Kyle Lowry had some serious issues with the Rockets' franchise, and has already had a few incidences with the Raptors franchise - this indicates he has an attitude problem, and whether you like it or not, politics is also involved in sports. How can you possibly jump to the conclusion that Lowry's benching has something to do with racism? Because you got some 'bad racist vibes' when you visited Toronto? Dude, put down whatever you're smoking.
So how is he doing, seems like he's really doing nothing special to gain that starting spot back while Jose keeps rolling.
Is this guy trolling? It's the 20th century for Christ' sake. Obviously the only reason we went upgrade Morris + Patterson to Love is because he's white. This means he's smarter and that we'll win more. It has nothing to do with his incredible rebounding and shooting ability.
