[Doesn't Suck] Live Action Toy Story <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/5G0j_Huv2Fg?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I picked the story from Cnet, btw (http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57...makers-remake-toy-story-as-live-action-movie/). Supposedly, the creators got a go-ahead from Pixar to show it.
I've watched about half of it and fully intend on finishing it at some point. They did a hell of a job.
I watched about 2/3rds of it and very impressed. I am impressed with the dog they got to play Scud and am wondering how many takes it took to get him /her. I haven't seen Toy Story since it first came out and will want to watch it again but one thing this shows is how great of a story it is so that the wires, jerky stop motion and other flaws don't really matter.
I think the flaws add to the charm. I am just as interested in seeing HOW they pull of each scene as I am about the story.
Slow day at work so I ended up watching the whole thing. Great job and I really want to see the original again just to compare. In addition to the animators kudos to the dog and the real kid who played Sid.
I am "Scud" (aka Rupert's) owner Hi there. I am the owner of the Bullterrier (See "Rupert the Bull Terrier" facebook page). Despite appearances, but in keeping with Scud's character, I suppose, Rupert is an unruly dog in life. My friend has trained dogs for movies and worked wonders with him. He got man of his behaviors on one take, actually. Others, took awhiel to set up and complete. So many funny stories. He had to check out every locale, being the alphadog hie is and once he explored a strangers living room and inexplicably lifted his leg and peed a blue streak. Yikes. THe process was long and arduous, but so worth it. Jonason and Jesse are inspirations!
