Waiting for someone to say it wasn't his fault.

I think Schaub and McClain should do a cop show together called "Pancakes & Panic". Anytime Schaub gets in trouble, he will throw his badge out of bounds.

34/51 343 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT. That's pretty good against the Patriots when it counts. Take away some bad calls and those drops and it's even better.

Or Schaub will perform some awesome John woo style slow motion skills as he knees his firearm and it hits the floor. unfortunately, everyone else will be in faster real-time.

Both of those TDs came once the game was over and the Pats had went into prevent mode. Manning was the biggest offensive weapon for three quarters.

I wasn't Schaub's fault we lost. The defense gave up to many big plays and red zone offense sucked because of the oline.

It wasn't his fault. But it is clear that in today's NFL, Kubiak's system and limited QBs like Schaub are not going to get it done at the highest level. It's time to go in a new direction, both from a playcalling standpoint, and from a talent standpoint. I'd give Kubiak a chance to change his offense, but I'd be hesitant about letting Schaub run that new offense. We need someone more dynamic back there.

Against the Pats, you can't just allow your Defense to be down by a bunch of points. The Defense made stops early and in certain critical moments. The Pats didn't even score until late in the 1st. You can't expect any defense including the Niners to play the Pats down by more than 10 points and have results. They'll keep coming at you. If we stayed within a scoring possession, we could take chances on blitzes and even passing interference just to stay physical. But down by 2 scores, your defense has to play a little more conservative.

When our special teams and Defense played well at the beginning of the game we didn't score, we didn't run the clock, we couldn't establish the run or pass. We were done the minute it became 17-3 in the 2nd quarter!

And that was on Matt Scaub and his offense that he never commands- period!

    You're just NOW realizing that?

Did you think Schaub would grow a strong arm/mobile legs overnight?

Also The Pats punted 3 of their 6 possessions in the first half. And 4 punts in their first 8 possessions of the game before Schaub threw that first pick. You can't ask for more than that.

Lets not forget that after his fumble drop, he completed a 25 yard pass.

Also, his receivers dropped some crucial catches as well, and the run game was nowhere to be found, except for that one drive.

The playcalling sucked, and the defence gave up 41 legitimate points: the offence did not turn over the ball on our side of the field and the special teams actually had good coverage. That might just be the reason we lost, ya know, because most teams can't outscore 41 points.

No, I thought this team was good enough to overcome Matt's shortcomings. They are obviously not.

You sure love to defend him though.

He is the same QB from 2009.

I don't love defending him. I don't love having to hear stupid arguments (or worse yet, their "solutions") from idiots who can barely rub two brain cells together. I love winning.

Well, technically it didn't hit his thigh, it hit is thigh pad. So it's the NFL's fault for making QB's wear them? :p

With that said, he threw a hell of a ball to Andre Johnson that made up for that bonehead play... but sadly he didn't make up for many of the other bonehead plays.
