You know this how? Are you Cowher's agent or something?

Common sense. It was already reported that he has that itch to coach again.

Do you really think he'd turn down the chance to coach a team that just won the division two years in a row and has players like J.J. Watt, Arian Foster, Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels, Jonathan Joseph, Brian Cushing, and Brooks Reed?

He'd have to be an idiot.

    Fire Kubiak.

    Hire Cowher or Chucky.

    Trade Schaub for Romo.

Come back next year. If we suck, hope Manziel comes out and we do whatever necessary to draft him.

    Ok....I know. But....hey....it could happen.

you guys complain about kubiak's conservatism, let me introduce you to your friend, extra conservatism. cowher :p

However, he could draft defensive players to stop gimmicky offenses. so we could beat them 12-6.

If you think Kubiak is a better coach than Cowher then I can't take you seriously. Sorry.

I agree, he would have to be an idiot to not want to take the job but I wouldn't be so sure he would jump on it and take the job immediately. He would demand a lot of money first of all. Secondly, he would want a QB worth a ****. He won't come here to bring up a rookie QB. Schaub isn't taking us anywhere regardless who is coaching.

Kubes' strength has never been in his general leadership and/or his handling of general head coaching duties. His strength has been that he was an offensive guy and he also served as OC. The problem with a HC like that is that if the league figures him out and the offense stops being effective, then what's the point of keeping him? His strength is no longer a strength and he's not really strong anywhere else. I mean, the owner had to come in and force a DC hire on him because he'd done such a crappy job of hiring his defensive staff in the past. Maybe it's too quick to say the offense is done for when the offense still finished 7th in yards and 8th in points. But the end of the year was awful and if it becomes a trend and continues into next season, if he can't right the ship on offense, then I see absolutely no reason to keep him around because if he losing the one thing he's good at, then he'll be good at nothing.

How do you guys not see that the defense allowed 41 POINTS. 41!! You HAVE to address this defense in the draft. Get a first round ILB next to Cushing, a safety who's more athletic than Manning, and some help on the D-Line for Watt, and the Patriots won't do **** on us. That's the FIRST thing that needs to be addressed over Schaub and Kubiak. 12-4 isn't exactly pedestrian.

    Fire kubiak!
    Cut Schaub!

Bring in tebow and Romeo Crenell!
Seriously, Kubes is not getting fired, and the only way to replace Schaub is by trade or developing Yates or rookie QB. Maybe we should replace the
    coordinator?

The defense isn't gonna be able to hold off the greatest QB in history forever.

If the offense is running the ball...if Schaub can covert some 3rd downs to keep drives alive...if our receivers make clutch catches on the first drive...if Kubiak isn't so predictable....then the Defense is off the field meaning Brady can't score.

Keep Kubiak. Draft a QB in the first 3 rounds. Hire Lomas Brown to play on the offensive line and let Schaub get sacked/hurt. Play rookie QB. Profit.

I voted to fire Kubiak but only with the caveat that we get a 'superstar' coach for the Texans. I don't think Kubiak is the only issue (I think our QB is a big part of the problem) but if we could get a Cowher, Gruden, Dungy, someone like that, I'd let Kubiak go. Just don't hire a "star" OC or DC from a playoff team who has never been a head coach for a team...we don't have time for a new coach to learn the ropes and give him a long leash.

Otherwise, I don't think there is much of a point in just firing Kubes. He did get us to the playoffs 2 years in a row, I do believe however that his conservative, non-adjusting playcalling won't get the Texans beyond the 2nd round in the playoffs. Also, the end of year meltdown is pretty inexcusable where the 1st seed was all but wrapped up (and yes Schaub is to blame here too).

Get Phil Jackson and Kevin Sumlin as OC. Then promote Keenum to starting QB.

I've been hard on Kubiak but I don't think this loss is on him. There were some gutsy calls in this game on offense and it looked he opened up the playbook some more.

    From the GAME THREAD:

At this moment I am a FIRE KUBIAK GUY
    I was before [6-10]
Tomorrow maybe I will be better

    1. If you think Schuab is inadequate . . . FIRE KUBIAK
because we know Kubiak does not 'do' QB controversies.
Schuab is his guy . . . PERIOD
Carr was his guy . . . PERIOD
there will be no FIGHTING for the QB position before the season
They will be no fighting during the season.
So don't expect them to draft a QB with any chance in hell of challenging Schuab

    2. If you think 500 ybs of offense between the 20s is not worth a ****! .. FIRE KUBIAK
I don't give a d*mn about them making a bunch of yards if they cannot punch it into the *****ing endzone
    YARDS . . TIME OF POSSESSION . . .don't mean ***** if it ends in 3s and not 7s
The ball was put inside THE OTHER team's 20 and we could do NOTHING but kick a fricking feild goal?!?!?!?! that set the tone of the game. That was a BIG WIN for the CHEATriots defense.
When the game was IN PLAY . . how many passes beyond 20 yrs did we even ATTEMPT??!??!

    3. Why the FRICK did we not THROW THE BALL TO ARIAN MORE!! IT was open all night!! ARIAN EVEN SAID THEY IGNORED HIM LAST GAME . . . now we see why . . .cause Kubiak and Schuak ignored him too
Everytime that gave him shots in space. . good things happened
The *****ty *****ing WR screen was sniffed out and stuffed every *****ing time!!

What were we on 3rd down?? [when it was still a game]
    3/19 or some such

Serious . .all this crap about Schuab threw for this .. or what ever
Everything after we were down 4 scores is bull**** and don't count for ****!

Wade needs some blame but the ultimate blame is still the HC
Wade - DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE ***** A HURRY UP OFFENSE IS . . or how to stop it
GARY - DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE ***** A HURRY UP OFFENSE IS . . and that it is hard to stop it???

    Rocket River
    . . . yea . . I got more. . .
