Texans are the pro american football team in houston. Oilers used to be the pro american football team in houston before relocating to hell. Houston does not have an NHL team because hockey sucks and no one watches it.
Been a Rockets fan my entire life. Became a Falcons fan 4 years ago when I moved to Atlanta from Alabama (no pro team). Stayed loyal to rockets and didn't switch to hawks. For me it's Rockets, Braves, Falcons. In that order.
I'm a band wagoner for the Texans. I watched on occasion as they built the team, but I don't follow football like I do basketball. Baseball sucks, so screw that.

I'm only a casual NFL fan. I started watching more last year because of the NBA lockout. I've been a hardcore NBA (and Rockets fan) since the mid-to-late '90s.
Started casually following last year. I will bandwagon the Texans until they suck I guess. Still learning the rules of football tho.
I don't watch football but will root for the Texans because they happen to be in the same city/state as my favorite NBA team Go Texans!
Rockets fan till the end. Favorite team in professional sports. Not a huge baseball follower, but I pull for the Astros and go to a few games a year. Actually go to a few Aeros games every so often. I find those really fun, even though I don't like hockey much, so I guess you could call me a Aeros fan. I've been a longtime Jags fan (sadly), and then moved to Houston and have tried to convert to the Texans, but just haven't been able to yet. Maybe someday I'll be a true fan, but not quite yet. I definitely want them to beat the Patriots today though. I will embrace the inevitable hate. Still love all my fellow Clutchfans.
Another interesting question to ask the Rockets + Texans fans is: Who is your favorite player in Houston, Harden or JJ Watt?
I would think I would say the rockets best player by default but its Watt until harden gets to playoffs. That INT TD Watt had is what does it for now.
Rockets fan, Texans fan. Native of the greater Houston area. I like the Texans because I can watch their games on television, among other things.
Why aren't my Astros listed? They are the only major Houston team to make it to the "finals" in the last decade.
