Oh please, life is about gaining everyone's respect. There are some who have an impossible hill to climb to achieve wealth but do the best that they can and still can't get out compared to many born into it. For others, they have the ability to be wealthy but have no desire for anything beyond what they need. Some people are ruthless and will do whatever it takes, even if it means unethical behavior, to obtain money and a false sense of power.

They've fooled the entire world into thinking money is the end all be all but the love money is root of all evils and in the end (and in real life, when the economy tanks) no one will have any money and how they treated people who will help them out will be more important.

good post caltex. If money is all that one cares about good for them. One of my friends has a big house, pool, big job whole bit and his wife shows her vagina on webcam for MORE money. She obsessed with it. good for her.

I believe thadeus was being tongue in cheek.. we all know his mom does the heavy lifting at his place. trust me on this. **smell my finger**

as for OP.. success is eastern carolina football lol.. I appreciate the inspiring young black kids to focus on working out the body and not the mind. Next time show a young black guy changing diapers, clocking in, holding door for old lady, taking night classes, AND the working out too. fine if you want to fit in a little erotica OP but being 50 cent or running back isn't going to be for everyone or attainable for everyone whereas persistence and drive in all facets ( including workout) is a better end game overall.

I enjoy the fact that SacTown naturally assumes everyone on this forum is an overweight video gamer who works a minimum wage job and does nothing other than eat fast food all day. Then he takes it upon himself to save these lost souls.

I can find out. She will show you it all for 6.99 a minute ;)

My friend sometimes calls me and puts the phone to the door so I can hear her panting and saying 'oh steve' or 'oh sanjeev'

it's ridiculous because they are rich. I mean 1%er rich. She doesnt need to do it.. and they have multiple houses they rent, he does software implementation big bucks. its not like she is horny.. it's all about cash. She will make a few hundred in a few hours and she turns around and buys more brand name junk and more garbage. what a joke of a life.

She is just out right obsessed with money and it is a sickness that I just don't get. Anyone can make more money. ANYONE... but where does one draw the line? that should be the gold standard - 'how' ? misleading young black kids into thinking they will all be 50 cent is sad sad.

You could be an ambulance chaser but kudos to you for trying something fun and interesting like you are doing. I have million more respect for that then someone with 8 hermes purses.

/nice to talk to you the other day btw ! EZE? again?? I am not money hungry *grin* but I am jealous! good job..keep living the dream. you da man

That's my schtick ;) Think of the bright side. I could be Honey Bear.

But, on a serious note. I'm like the wise mentor of all the young lost souls on clutchfans. I used to be one of them. Money is not the end all be all, but freedom is. The only reason I talk about money so much is that it gives me freedom. I used to live in Houston, I used to live in the suburbs, I used to have a dreadful mortgage and god forbid I used to DRIVE in that traffic 5 days a week and sit in a cubicle and work my butt off for somebody else. I put 60,000 miles on a brand new car in one year and spent god knows how much in fuel. I worked from 7am to 5pm M-F as a software support analyst. I had to babysit dumb end users, I had to conduct training classes, answer help desk tickets, and sit through change control meetings. I did all this for a measly 68k per year. I got yearly raises and after 4 years I was up to a whopping 72k. It gave me just enough money to pay my mortgage, general bills, my car payment, insurance and I had a little left over to save and I was able to eat out a few times per month and go out a few times and that was about it. I was doing what I thought I was supposed to do, not what I was really passionate about doing.

Walking away from that back in 2007, selling that house, the majority of my material possessions and starting my own business and starting to travel opened my eyes to what living really was. Prior to this I was merely existing, now I'm living. I could get on a plane tonight and go anywhere and I could work a full work week from that place. The beach, New York City, Paris, Thailand, Hong Kong, etc... It's not about money, it's not about power, it's not about status, it's not about material possessions. Other than a nice watch, I have very few material possessions, but you know what I do have? The most valuable thing of all. FREEDOM. Freedom to go where I want whenever I want. Freedom to sleep in if its raining, freedom to work directly from the beach as long as I have my laptop and an internet connection. Freedom to go buy something if I really want it or take my wife to a nice restaurant anytime I want to. People fight and die for freedom, yet we are willing to get locked into the prison of surburbia and an 8-5 like it's nothing, just following the sheep and we think we are living when we are just merely existing in that state, like zombies going through the motions.

Most guys on cf.net are still young enough to get a head start and not get caught up in this madness of status quo which they are surrounded by. I hope my posts are taken as constructive with a little bit of tongue in cheek but the truth is still there.

how is that freedom? You are a slave to your internet connection?

    Come on.

I found a picture of a shirt you might like OP:

On a serious note I get what you are saying sactown and I appreciate where you are coming from. Some people just dont have it and some just dont want. thats okay.

I think it's great that you were able to succeed. I know plenty of guys that are okay with the 68k a year help desk job.. and plenty of them are just fine living. It's not like they haven't lived or know what they don't know.

I know a 35 year old guy that works at a movie theater and he has been around the world. His dad was oil guy and he lived in UK, singapore, seychelles, madagascar, caymans etc. He is content to stay is his bubble around katy area and only eats hot dogs and burgers. He is not from USA but he has bought in wholesale USA. As much as you bought in to the idea of 'work for self'

So you can't paint a broad brush that everyone thinks or wants to know the world or the 'freedom' that you speak of. I like you OP. I would subscribe to your news letter (maybe I already do? grin) One day I would like to sit down and know some of the SEM,SEO stuff since its seems you are well meaning not like some of the others. You are not a troll just as a misunderstood good guy. I really believe this and respect that you made it happen on your own.

I have been on my own for 7 years now toiling and hasn't been all unicorns and rainbows. I have been profitable had some home runs and some pains.. and yes freedom (whatever that means) can be a perceived... just as long as the guys answering the phone, the website doesnt go down, I dont get panda'ed by google, the sales are up, the high season highs and the low season doesnt low etc. Maybe Im jaded and over it..and quite honestly I'm going to take on more and even do some other things on top of that. never settle OP.. but stop making it sound easy or think that everyone wants that.

There is a certain 'freedom' and charm of having absolutely NOTHING to do between 5PM friday night and 11PM sunday night. Its a honest purity I think you are overlooking to an extent.
