I like faried but denver will not easily part with him. We need a josh smith or a another pf that can rebound.
I would also say lin needs to be replaced, though I doubt there are any takers....sigh, thankfully hes only here for 3 years.

Sad that our power fowards never around the paint for offensive rebounds

I am angry at Lin for not passing up those outside shots. Harden's defense was better than usual but not good enough. We have a ton of PFs, I would rather try new blood than watch the usual suspects underperform with rebounds and defense.

Also, where the hell is Beverley? We could try inputting him with TD and see if it gets our starters some extra rest. What do we have to lose anyway?!

Coaches don't know PG's game, they don't even think PnR is useful. PGs are just small shooters who can run faster.

This team overall is largely dependent on Harden. He cant do it by himself.

The funny things is, he probably doesn't have to. McHale needs to stop relying on his iso ability and create plays for him in which he can come off the ball and get some shots & drives.

Our dumb coach is content with watching Harden iso against a double team though.

McHale should concentrate more on the defense during the practices and walk throughs.

What is there to quit on?

Face it, this team will still be performing above expectations if they get the 14th pick and end up with 40+ wins.

The fluky winning streak had everyone believing this team was better than it actually is.

With the sort of offense that the Rockets has in place, I'm not sure we need a true PG to "run the offense". It seems to me that the positions on the perimeter (particularly the guards) are almost interchangeable in terms of function within our offense. The problem with Douglas is he can't create shots or pass the ball off the dribble, which puts more playmaking responsibility on the other perimeter players.

Where was this last night when Lin had like 12 points on 7 shots with 6 assists & 0 turnovers against the Celtics? Got to be patient he is still young.
All these people slurping Jrue Holliday check his stats in seasons prior he wasn't this good. Jrue got better Lin will too. Just needs a better jumper.

The only thing that is lacking is starting PF that can like said before: 1. Rebound 2. Block Shots and 3. Can hit 12 to 16 ft jumpers (Please No 3's)

Nor should you. We have 2 major glaring weaknesses

    1: Defense
    2: Power Forward

Everyone needs to calm down about Lin. He has had his share of VERY good games. We need a Power Forward who can rebound, pick and roll, pick and pop, and play at least average defense?

Oh wait, I just described Kevin Love. That's wierd.

Jesus... talk about making excuses... Harden went for 29/9/6/2 on 19 shots, Lin went for 7/5/4 on 2/13 shooting while his man, went for 30/9 on 22 shots with 6 turnovers...

Harden should have shot MORE tonight.

I am not trying to pile on Lin, Holiday is a better player than Lin, and average players like Lin will on occasion have nights like tonight.

I am trying to say it is all about perspective. We as fans should understand that a young team like this will have stretches of bad play. They will be inconsistent and they will have losing streaks. Regardless of coaching or who is in the rotation.

So, for now, yes I am ok with losing because I KNOW this is not a finished product by any stretch. We have a PG that is in his first year starting. We have a C getting the most mins he has ever had AND is weak on offense. We have a SF in his 2nd year who was a 2nd rnd pick.

This is a tough 6 game stretch for any team, let alone a young one with inconsistent players. Im just trying to keep things in perspective. They had a 5 game winning streak which was great, but I knew that would not last.

After that winning streak did you start to think they were a top 4 team in the west all of a sudden? (and im just asking not being a smartass)

The Good: Helluva bounce back game from Harden, he practically had 2 highlights plays of the day, free-throws are back, Omer played a lot of minutes and looked great, Chandler also had an awesome game. Rockets' started off with beautiful ball movement.

The Bad: 8 of 32 from 3pt line. Ridiculous. I know Coach McHale wants this team to be a 3pt threat but damn. Sure we look great when they're falling but when they're not (like it's been the whole road trip) it'd be nice if he added some plays, some variety to our very predictable offense.
The momentum shifted in the first quarter when Jeremy was taken out (no, it's not a LOF complaint you oversensitive LOF haters :p), but it's not like McHale is gonna leave all starters there for 4quarters if we're winning because it's the working "lineup" :p. Gotta rest 'em. When he came back, he didn't really have an affect on the game, linvisible :(
Jeremy missed a couple of layups but also got hesitant to attack when he realized he's just gonna get a beating and lose the possession because of the no calls so he kept dribbling back out. :(
Im having a hard time thinking of what PPat or Morris did today, did they do anything at all? I dont even remember seeing them but the boxscore tells me they played. /Delfino shrug.

I'm very new here, this is my actual first post. Started following houston this year because of James and Jeremy joining this team. What I have noticed for this team is tho that the offense is a bit 2 dimensional. It is heavily reliant on 3ptrs and James Harden ISO. When the 3ptrs are going in, this team looks unstoppable, and opens the lane for a lot of drives etc.. However, I do notice very minimal PnR plays and even minimal basic screens set when they are not going in. All the plays I see is for getting open wide 3's. But when the 3's are not on, we really have no other plays other than Harden ISO's, or lucky fast breaks. Do you guys see the same?

I'm really hoping Douglas gets moved out at the trade deadline. He's not part of our future and he's a free agent anyway. That will open up time for Beverly to get some burn. Wishing the same for PP or MM so Dmo can get more playing time.
