100% correct. It was clear that Boston had adjusted. AGAIN, we failed to adjust and tried to pray that what worked earlier would suddenly work again after the other team adjusted and our energy team was tired.

Can we just fire Morris/PPatt instead?

You don't like Morris how come? But I am in agreement on firing Patt.

    Basically.

I don't always agree with McHale's substitutions and I think at times our lack of structure on offense is hurting us, but some of this criticism in here is really unwarranted.

If you want to critic the offense we run, that's fine. It's not flawless. Just don't be ignorant about it. Some of the stuff we do is random, but certainly not all of it. Not even close.

McHale may not be perfect and yet this team is overachieving. Do the players get all the credit and the coach gets none?

Last night it sure would have helped if the team could have even shot it decently from the line.
Also, as good as Harden is on offense, he's the weakest link of our team on defense by far. It's ridiculous, really.
Nobody is asking him to be a defensive stopper, but it would help if he could at least try more than half the time (and even that might be generous).

No one in this team either wants or knows how to set a pick.

I am very pleased with the way McHale has adjusted our offense especially the past few weeks. THe offense was very simple beginning of the year and now he's showing an NBA offense.

Our recent struggles are teams making good adjustments to our strengths. I will give McHale a few weeks to counter. Adjustments can't be made in game at this stage because our guys are just learning how to play together so adjustments will throw them off.

Has to come little by little

Curious what do you mean by lack of structure on offense?

Some of our offense is "random", which helps keep the offense free-flowing and keeps the defense honest. The ball gets moved around, guys run random pick&rolls.
However because of the randomness the ball at times will find guys that aren't having a great (shooting) game or guys who you perhaps prefer spacing the floor, not handling the ball -- at least not to start the play off.

    HMMMHMM,
Just a suggestion: Maybe there should be an "official Röckëts video breakdown" thread if you are going to do this regularly? All this discussion about strategy is distracting from the main topic of this thread, which is to yell about McHale needing to be fired.

Yeah I agree. Like for example Parsons will be feeling it from 3 but then he will grab the rebound & bring the ball up & initiate the play & you are like no Chandler keep shooting stop playmaking. Same goes with Carlos. Tony Douglas should never initiate plays he just doesn't make the right decisions. I think it was the Lakers game where Smith had a mismatch on Meeks & Tony passed cross court to like Parsons or something for a contested 3 I was like ugh.

My bad. FIRE MCFAIL!

I'll make one tomorrow or Monday. Just don't expect too much. :)

30 of them and yes, some type of play index in the OP is pretty much what I had in mind as well.

Take some solace in the fact that the videos are raising the basketball IQ of folks around these parts. I've enjoyed them and have started to look for more things happening in the game now that I know what I'm seeing and what to look for.

    Now get to work!

These two games prove again McHale does not know how to allocate minutes and use his bench. When you're a run and gun team, you cannot just use 8 guys and continually play guys 40 minutes in back-to-backs.
