You can't compare eras. The game has changed, people have become more skilled. You can only compare how great respective players were in their era.

Glad it's over. Did somebody notice he was trying to get 25 against the Hornets or Celtics just for the sake of the record even though it's clear they would lose the game? I hope not..

No he wasn't, that's confirmation bias.

Are you kidding me if Harden wanted to score he can effortlessly do it. But he is a team first guy so I seriously doubt it.

I think Harden is more worried about his streak than about the team winning games

Hey guys, if it's any consolation Harden is still on track to beat Moses' 20+ point game streak. Harden is at 19 games, Moses' record is 29.

I'm thinking he'll get that. If not this year, then at some point in his career. Dude is only 23....amazing...

When he first started playing for us, he was all about setting up teammates and scoring. Now he ball hugs a lot, and keeps shooting 3's even when they are not falling. And like someone else mentioned it looked like he was trying to still get his against the celtics and hornets even though the game was out of reach.

Im happy his streak ended, now he can worry about making the team better

Honestly, I see James Harden in "that era" as a stronger Vernon Maxwell, mixed with Sam Cassell as some Rockets throw backs. Vernon's quickness, and getting to the hoop at will with a lot of contact, and Sam's clutch qualities, able to see plays before they happen, a distributer, a shot taker, a shot maker with the game on the line, respectively, they each contained these qualities.

I think he'd do well even if hand checking, and hard fouls were still allowed. That is Harden's game. He turns it over a little much at the moment, but he's young (23), and will learn more as a leader. He is a strong tough dude. He has a deceptive look to him that seems as if he isn't that big. Except he is at a strong weight for his height, very strong.

He is only taking 17.5 shots a game on average the whole season. He wasn't that worried. He wanted the accomplishments because that gives him the pub that he wants. He is all about winning though. As he said his first day at practice "Tuck your shirt tails in, and let's get to work." (something close to that if not right on).

Harden is not a ball hog, and he is the main cog of the team. He should keep shooting even if he is shooting bad. That is what shooters, and leaders do. He also deferred a lot too. He could have had plenty of lay ups, and got his, but he got to the hoop and dished it off. Some of these plays ended up in turnovers, so I'd say that he should have shot more in those circumstances.

Also referring back to the ball hog stuff. Harden, and Reggie compare quite well in this analogy because Reggie didn't have the biggest cast around him. He had a decent center that was better than what we have, in Smits, but I regress. Would you want Reggie not shooting because he is having a bad night? Or would you let him keep shooting, and get in his groove? Also, most of Harden's shots are going to the hoop, he is a down hill player. He's taking 5.6 three's a game, and making two. Yes that isn't great, but it isn't bad, and our team lives, and dies by the three a lot at times if you haven't noticed.

Take what the D gives ya. We are a run n gun team, but when we are in the half court the down hill play gives us lots of open threes for Delfino, Morris, PP, Lin, Harden, etc.....

I don't think he's being selfish or trying to pad his stat. I think it's because the Rockets are not winning, his teammates are not getting things going, and he's trying to do too much himself. He's not trusting his teammates to get the job done.

I think when the Rockets start winning again, he'll share the ball more. Time will tell.

    spot on.

Without Harden, I shudder at what this offense might look like. As a rockets fan Ive never been/still not too high on Harden for some reason but the guy has been crazy efficient in most of his games and is the central piece to the rockets this year.

Lin fans need to get over themselve.s
