Lillard goes absolutely OFF in the second half. 12 straight buckets.

His game reminds me much of Deron Williams.

That was awesome. He doesn't have handles like Kyrie or CP3 but man he has an effortless shot.

Wow... I love when a guy takes a crazy deep heat check three and drains it. Removing myself momentarily from being a Rockets fan and just appreciating this guy as a basketball fan, he's incredibly fun to watch.

Me too. Highly unlikely, but to think Harden and him could have been our backcourt of the future...

Lillard is good. Plus he had his family there in the suite watching him play. I wish Lin wouldn't hesitate to take shots like Lillard.

Not on the same level. Irving is a HOFer talent. Statistically, especially based on advanced stats, only MJ and Magic had better rookie seasons.

Lillard is having an inefficient high volume rookie reason. His season is an exact replica of Tyreke's rookie reason. He will cool off and fade into a starting/scoring PG role.

Unfortunately, the Blazers still lost the game so it doesn't mean squat.

Wow, he stayed 4 years in college? Seems like most young stars these days are one-and-done.

Untrue. I watched Reke a lot as a rookie. They are VERY different players. One significant advantage Lillard has is the ability to shoot, which Reke never mastered. As a rookie, Reke used his size advantage to bully PGs but he destroyed the productivity of his teammates. Also, the Kings were pathetic and it was very easy for him to put up stats in meaningless games. The Kings sacrificed the season to let Reke "develop".

Lillard is producing on a team with other talented players that has a good shot at the playoffs. Unlike Reke's rookie year, the Blazers main focus is actually winning games and Lillard's production comes in that context.

So, no, their rookie seasons are NOT exact replicas and their prospects for the future aren't the same. Lillard won't be a franchise PG but his future is bright. After being a huge fan early on, I said Reke was a fraud by the end of his rookie year.

How come he is not being hyped like jeremy lin was? he is helping his team win games, he is doing amazing thing as a rookie, putting absolutely monster numbers, and he barely gets hyped on tv. Oh wait, he black. its expected.

Basically. Also the media tends to ignore Portland, if Lillard was doing this for the Knicks there would be LOTS more coverage.

Um he is a first round pick, its in portland and its more surprising what Lin did compared to him. Lin finally got his chance to finally get minutes and did his thing. Lillard was the starting guard day one they drafted him. Blazers knew this guy can ball.

I could tell your intention before I even read the second line. Why? Because you come into this thread already predisposed to the idea that race is all that differs between Lin and Lillard. Yes, race was a factor, but acting like it was the only factor is ridiculous.
