Games against NBA heavyweights the Sixers, Pacers, and Timberwolves? Chisel in those L's onto a stone tablet, all three are unbeatable.
january is the toughest part of the rox schedule. we knew this going in. calm down. if they do have a losing streak so what? they'll learn from it. we're not winning it all this year. we'll be in the playoffs, don't worry. this team is good.
loses two games stops being a fan. cmon houston has it good atm. we are the youngest team. what are you expecting...
I would say the first winning formula is increase Jeremy's ball handling. I suspect our next winning formula is to play Smith at 4 along with Asik. Don't rely on small balls or stretching the floor that much. It has been figured out by other teams and is not going to work as well as before. When other teams pack the paint, we should send Asik and Smith to compete if MM and PP fail to punish them with the 3's.
Playing the "run and gun" style is catching up with this team, IMO. Young legs get tired too. Also, Asik's slump is having a huge impact. He's the anchor to whatever frontcourt defense that the Rockets have.
Torocan is right. If you would check Portland's schedule. They have been riding the tide of a weaker SOS. They have yet to meet the majority of the best (.600+) teams, especially on the road. BTW, most people here seem have yet to learn how to read the Hollinger Power RankingS report properly. Try it. It's very useful. Basketball-reference.com is also a good resource for finding what has happened and what's going to.
I am predicting that our young Rockets will come out at least six games above .500 from January, and in the worst case at 8th seed. I am more concerned about what they will learn from their losses. Just like your teenager kids, you have to let them go through the trial and error period to learn and become better. I am more concerned about how they are going to go beyond the first round in the postseason.
Wryneck bird, which is remarkable for its ability to twist its head almost 180 degrees while hissing like a snake...
oh man i think this is going to happen.. playing terribly right now against the 6ers and Clips coming up...
