Well he has the opportunity to be a second option on this team, and so far, he hasn't been able to be one. Second option is not a role player-the 4th and 5th options are role players. He needs to improve and the trend of his turnovers has been increasing, and that's kind of worrisome.
How do you add some one to the ignore list? I'd like to do that. Is a there a button for it on this forum? Or you just keep it in your mind?
Have you not noticed? CP3, KIDD, NASH, Stockton all have taken a backseat to let their teammates do what they do best. CP3 did that for D.WEST, KIDD did that for Vince Carter and Dirk. NASH did it for Stoud, and Stockton for Malone. They all had different games. They all have been number 2 options and they have done great in being number 2 options as well as number 1 option. They have been consistent throughout their plays and they have came in with higher potential than J Lin. They had the skills J Lin has now when they were younger than Lin..
that's the reason you need to read and read again and again to see what other ppl tried to say. i am talking about the #1 ball handling PG. all players you mentioned are the #1 ball handling PG. this is not the case for lin. c'mon.
BTW, lin was #1 ball handler and put up superior # in the only game harden didn't suit up. add a little bit more to :grin:make sure you understand what i am talking about.
btw lin brings up the ball only to pass to harden. he can make decisions and attack but he doesn't. thats on him.
you got me! god, was that too obvious? "sha yan" I can always change my name to Andre Drummond or Lance Stephenson.
the only thing lin needs, in terms of scoring, is a mid range jumper and a floater. that's it. he's not a 3pt shooter, never was, and asking him to do that is simply too much. can his 3pt improve? sure. but he will never be a novak. instead, he needs to shoot more mid range 2s, especially off the pick, and develop a consistent floater so he can avoid contact at the rim and still have offense when the lane collapses.
c'mon, are we going to argue who is responsible for this? recently, i have seen the different appoach coaches were taking since the spurs' game. lin dumped ball to harden less but harden still brough up ball up alot. lin started to create opportunities to himself and others more than what he did in the first month.
btw, every enjoy tonight game. hope rox (including coaches and players) can learn something from the last game and win this one.
Lin has had a few 20pnt games as well though with Harden in the game. In those games him and Harden took turns attacking the rim. I would like Lin to be a little more like this.

Excuses excuses. He needs to play better... He needs to shoot better, and he needs to stop being an idiot on the floor. He is making middle school turnovers. Do NOT drive into the paint, pick up your dribble, and jump straight in the air, with nothing to do.
AggNRox.. Are you serious? I've seen Lin bring up the ball as much as Harden has brought up the ball. There should be no excuse. I don't think the Coaches tell Lin. "Hey buddy, bring up the ball, pass to harden and shoot threes".. The coaches are smart enough to know Lin cannot shoot the 3s... Have you played basketball before? Then you should know that if you are a pg or a sg, you touch the ball and its up to you what you want to do with the ball. OFF BALL OR ON THE BALL. If you are off the ball, once you catch the ball, you can attack the rim (his strength) or pass for open shots. He can't even beat the trap on the ball like Harden can, so i don't blame coaches for letting harden bring it up.
