A new record. Kobe Bryant is now the NBA all-time leader in missed field goals, combining regular season and postseason attempts.
so what? hes one of the greatest of all time..certainly the greatest of the post-jordan era..who cares?
tell me about you achievements in the NBA. Edit: Image removed by an admin because Google didn't like the URL you were hotlinking the image from -- they flag the URL for malware. Please be careful.
I never agreed with this. He was the best player in the NBA for like 4 years of his career. Did he outlast guys who outplayed him some years? Yes. But longevity doesn't make you the greatest.
He is volume shooter that doesn't get his team involved. Is he one of the greatest of all time......absolutely. Yet any student of the game can comfortably say that Kobe Bryant is highly over rated.
Personally I love Kobe. I love his mid range J, something the youngns seemed to have forgotten how to do recently. Just thought it was interesting.
In what way is he overrated? Is he not debatably the second greatest sg of all time? Is he not debatably the best perimeter player of his generation? I'm just curious at what point does he become overrated since he is one of the greatest of all time.
He is one of the greatest INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS. That much, I agree. I would put him there with the likes of Dirk as far as greatest of all time.
He is the most overrated defensive player of all-time. In fact, it's actually not even funny how overrated he is as a defensive player. He had maybe a couple seasons of elite defense but the rest were just average, certainly not deserving of the multiple first team defensive honors he received.
I agree with that. Defense awards are usually given to the wrong people in both basketball and baseball.
"Average" is generous.... he has been defensively slipping for a decade. He is currently a defensive liability. He is a Hall of Famer, no doubt, but he is not the best post Jordan player. Further, Kobe was very lucky Gasol fell in the Lakers laps our we would be having a very different conversation.
Is he really any better at sg then someone like Reggie Miller or has his status been elevated by the talent around him, being a chucker, and espn hype machine?
