What happened to the cornerback that we picked up? Can he really not beat Harris?

And Keo/Demps are TRASH. Is their special teams play that good that they get a roster spot over Nolan???

Routt? Phillips plays his guys, sticks with them - just like Kubiak. Cap reasons aside it would not surprise me if Phillips actually prefers James to Ryans.

    Well, he's not.

Welker is an elite WR, but he's not in the AJ Green, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson athletic beast mold. Putting Joesph on him probably wouldn't make a difference either way.

    Sigh...

If while watching the game of football you can't tell the difference between what make AJ Green good and what makes Wes Welker good, then Yes. I mean he's not black.

LOL!!!!! Granted color has nothing to do with skills, there's a reason why AJ is the 4th pick and Wes was undrafted. AJ is way better. NE system makes Welker look good, fact it makes any player look good.

lol... So we're going to do what we did last time and just hope it works this time around?

Hope to see more zone coverage out there. Got crushed with man to man, and now with them having Gronk back, it's going to be even tougher. Probably virtually impossible to stop unless the pressure from the Texans D-Line gets to Brady.

The times that Wade blitzed in that game, they were all ineffective, either Brady let it go far before he got pressure or the O-Line for the Pats picked it up and that was enough for Brady to convert.

The other part of this is the Run defense now. I think it'll be a little worse than even before. BJGR was running pretty well against this defense, I could see Ridley doing even more damage if they decide to run.

All in all, it doesn't look good for the Texans defensively. If there's a blueprint out there, it's that Arizona game from early on in the season. They got real pressure on Brady (and the Seahawks also did a week or two later) which forced him to some bad throws. If this defense can't do that, they might as well hand the Patriots 7 points in their every drive. The secondary is what it is, it's average at best.

I'm so sure that Wade is being 100% forthcoming in describing how the defense will play the Pats. After all, there is no reason for him to keep that to himself.

Wade is just trolling the media. Calm down.

this is the key no joke. go look at pats rushing totals in their losses and close (1 score) victories. very little rushing yards.

in contrast their rushing totals in the big victories are huge.

Phillips basically forwarded his whole defensive gameplan to the Patriots.
