What a way to end the year with Pool's win over QPR. Speaking of which, what the hell is up with QPR? They have some pretty big names in that club, along with a high profile goalie...AND they just hired a legendary manager. Yet they can't seem to remember how to play soccer as a unit.
With Aguero out for what should be a long time with a hammy tear, the Toure's gone for most likely a month for the Africa Cup of Nations, Balotelli being Balotelli, and guys like Richards and Nasri injured City have to make some moves here to keep there chances at the Premire League Title alive. I'm thinking they can use another forward (perferable someone who can play out wide) mid and defender.
Just when I think we have it bad here with Stern, his (racist) FIFA counterpart in Sepp Blatter does something really stupid. I mean isn't there enough evidence that Blatter is a corrupt racist? Dude and his cronies need to be locked up. Why are all the good sports lead by POS's?
I would say that it could be argued that Sepp has ruined football more than Stern has with basketball. Sepp is a racist and he's corrupt. His solution to players subject to racial slurs from the crowd is... to sit there and take it...? yes, that's right. Also giving the World Cup venue to Russia and Qatar IMO is a clear under the table deal. I'm sure other posters here can add to it. You can google some of the stuff he's done, it's no conspiracy, it's in plain sight.
I know many things he has done that seem shady, I was just curious what you were referring to specifically.
Great game today, hopefully his injury isn't serious. Sergi is out for 4 weeks apparently. Malaga should be tougher and then Real in Semis ufff can't wait.
