He'll be fine. Shouldn't even be on the court tbh.

His final line from the game you are commenting on:

    24 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 blocks

This is why they play two halves of basketball. ;)

Lowry was great down the second half but he looks for his own shot a little too much instead of passing it to an open teammate. Don't know if he's still injured (he came back early didn't he?) and if that's still affecting his play, but regardless of that his shot selection has been questionable at times.

6/16 from the field but kind of made up for it from the line going 11/11

If it helps any, I've watched a few Raptors games after his return from his injury, and Lowry's shooting and even his free throw shooting have been sketchy at times.

We know this person. We know this player. He's a fighter.

In all likelihood, he rushed himself back from his injury because that's who he is. He can't stand not playing.

I saw that game against Philly on the calendar, and I knew he would suit up and play before his hometown crowd, and probably make his recovery take longer in the process. That is just Kyle Lowry. There is nothing more Kyle Lowry than for Kyle Lowry to do that.

My comment worked like reverse jinx! Two halves, day and night. Admire his flight spirit, and his last 3 was a beauty. Hope he is fully back from his injury.

TBH, I'm disappointed in Lowry. I thought he'd have more impact. Yet the Raptors seem to have played even worse since he's return at least on the box scores. Kind of feel bad they gave up a lottery pick for him.

Kyle Lowry played just 17 minutes tonight (1-2, 2 points, 4 assists). According to Rotoworld, he left the locker room without speaking to the media:

Calderon is being heavily showcased, and Lowry is being a trooper for putting up with this in the interim.

There have been more Calderon rumors than Lowry trade rumors so far, particularly with the rumored package for Rudy Gay.

But don't misunderstand: Trading away a better point guard and keeping Jose Calderon is still a very Toronto Raptors thing to do. It's sort of their tradition.

And it's helped them win so much over the years, as you can see. So much winning with Calderon helming that team. Team just overflowing with rich winning tradition. Quick! Duck! You almost got hit by some of that rich Raptors winning tradition. It's everywhere.

2010 signs Jarret Jack, he starts over Calderon for half the season

2011 trades Jarret Jack for Bayless

    2012 lets Bayless go

    2012 signs Lowry

    2013 trades Lowry??

what the hell was the point of all this

Don't forget TJ Ford, too! He was putting up 14 points and 8 assists in Toronto so naturally the Raptors couldn't wait to give his starting job to Jose Calderon and get rid of him as well.

Something is very wrong with that franchise.

Not saying that Calderon's a better PG than Lowry (he's certainly not), but the Raptors have unfairly targeted the PG spot for improvement year after year, when they've got bigger problems. Calderon's a poor man's Nash or Stockton - a bad defender but a great distributor/ball handler and very good shooter. He shoots 48%/38%/88% for his career, and has a better than 4/1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
