No, he was 1-4. I watched it twice and checked the logs. Here are the shots: 9:06 Austin Rivers blocks Jeremy Lin 's 3-foot shot 7:16 Roger Mason Jr. blocks Jeremy Lin 's 5-foot jumper 6:46 Jeremy Lin misses 25-foot three point jumper 0:05 Jeremy Lin makes 21-foot jumper
Once Harden sat down in at the end of the 3rd with a 10 pt Rockets lead, it's hard to get back momentum after it's blown.
All other stats aside, just 9 points by your starting PG (2 coming with 5 secs left) really isn't going to cut it against a 9-25 team.
There's already been a Parsons "Sophomore Slump" thread. If a player strings together a few bad games, the threads will come. No matter who it is.
couldn't you say that about any position? if anything the average starting pg probably averages less than other positions
See below for Clutch reply. Sorry i dont read into stats that much like you. All I remember was Lin made many mistakes that shifted the momentum completely. Thanks Clutch!
You can point out this kind of excuses for every player who got cold after being benched, not just Harden.
I think the coaches were getting too over-confident and lazy lately with the small balls and forgot to implement QUALITY P&R for our guards. Without the bigs, there is no P&R, and how do you expect creative passes for every play, from just running around the perimeter ? You need to implement a two-dimensional player movement (rather than one-dimensional perimeter movement) to stir the fluid for creative play making.
Exactly. no P&R with small lineup was big reason we lost. And everyone sucks! not just one or two players.
Critizicing Lin or anybody else on Rockets for lousy games is one thing. Bashing someone for each mistake he makes is another thing. People who do the latter should bash themselves for every mistake they make and start bashing on others only when they remedy themselves and become perfect human beings. . . . Which obviously isn't happening, so stop bashing!
Er, you realize Clutch's post actually supports torocan and Second_Cousin's point that it was only a few mistakes rather than the "many" you remembered right
