With the refs not calling anything under the basket, we could have put Asik or Smith in to tip in those missed layups... small lineup didn't help tonight :(

At least, Harden's 25pt streak still alive :)

Let's move on and hope we show more energy in the next two. (Coach has to manage their minutes better, a lot of those TOs and missed layups tonight were obviously due to fatigue)

Yup...especially that and-1 drove me nuts when it was called.
I think once he realized that he wasn't going to get the calls, he backed off on penetration. Still, that took a lot out of options out of his game, and Harden's game.

Been wanting him to be on this team

His post game is not too shabby and can play pick n roll well. Our team is pretty complete with him.

Actually, no his TOs did not come in a crucial time of the game. Sorry, it's just revisionist history. But he did play badly tonight, no doubt, as he has in some games this year. Today his teammates couldn't bail him out for a win.

Hmm by that logic, Lin should get most of the credit when the team wins, since you know, he plays PG every night and the one of the primary playmakers every night. Yet he mysteriously doesn't.

I agree with you that the refs suck in this game, what I mean by being aggressive in general in every games not just this one. I am not upset with him as he is still a young and inexperienced player.

I didn't check your other player stats, but I remember Delfino knocking in a couple of 3's.

It is precisely because I have watched the previous 5 games where Asik is starting to average ~24 minutes that I know that small ball is costing them point differencial. It's just they have been hitting enough tough shots that they were able to absorb the handicap and win despite the McHale dumbass small ball experiment. Unfortunately this gave McHale the impression that his "genius" strategy is working.

Just go back and watch the end of the 3rd with Asik and see how open the 3s are and how much more space penetrators had because people near the paint actually have to stick to the dunk threats, then go watch the 4th when everybody is on the perimeter. There was so little spacing, it was cake for NOH to defend two Rockets with one guy on the perimeter, and when drives happen everybody near the paint can go wall off the ball carrier.

Just re-watch the difference between end of 3rd and the 4th and pay attention to the spacing, inside and on the perimeter. Just. Plain. Dumb. No open shot. Even players who have gotten to the paint can't get a clean layup because they have three defenders collapsing on them without worrying getting dunked on behind their back while they have one defender easily guarding two close-together players on the perimeter. Even when they get a little open and squeeze off a 3 there is a defender near.

Yes, you are right. It was a typo that I saw after I posted, but I can't edit my posts.

    Delfino was 5-16 31% (2-6 3PT)

I recalls the game and fixed it again. There were basically 3 dumb transition plays by Lin. I counted 4 TO's on Lin.
