this is where discussion switched to Garnett as a crafty Motombo like vet to come off the bench as part of a monster PF trade package ... I like
for some reason I keep coming back to Ryan Anderson as the most likely target. A stretch 4 who has been hovering around a 20 PER for the past 3 season. On a contract similar to Lin and Asik...and he is only 24. not a foundational player, but definitely a moneyball move. he is also playing behind a guy name Anthony Davis who the Hornets will be spoon feeding. snagging a 1st by absorbing Rip and then moving that with DMo or TJones along with a throw-in like Douglas and max cash might get the job done. Grevais Vasquez is another player on that team that intrigues me. he might be a guy to keep an eye on if they are all-in on Rivers.
Didn't he recently resign with the bulls? for like, just under 10 mill a season? 10 mill a season = A wapping 7 points - 5 rebounds and block in 20 mins. Even if we doubled his mins 40, avg says he'd get 14 10 and 2, asik does that enough for us in 30 with his 8 mill contract. No offense to taj, i like him, his game, the hustle he brings...for about 5 mill tops.
I certainly don't think Dirk will end up here . .but I don't think the fan base here would have a problem with it if the deal was done. Yes we hated watching him beat us . . .but if he is one of us, and a piece that could get us over the top, it wouldn't take long at all to accept that
Why the heck would Harden want to spot up and shoot anything but a three? Against many lineups he just dribble drives to the rim. I seriously doubt there is any desire to change where Harden shoots from. Also, the half court offense is developing well, and may become a thing of beauty in the next couple of months. The spread offense, with three dribble drive capable players is very difficult to defend. And, later in the shot clock, the picks and ball movement is improving. When you are leading the NBA in PPG offense definitely is not the problem. The best example I can give of a team with to much offensive capability at the expense of defense is the Lakers. There is a ton of offense on that team. Beyond Howard, no one can play good defense at their position. Can you say cratered?
The player that makes the most sense in our offense and the flow would be Nicolas Batum. A player that is long enough to play at PF and can run the floor and guard any position.
[/FONT] Grevais Vasques talent is no secret, to me and all hornets fan in the last 10 games he's avg almost 17 points, 10 assist and 5 rebounds and a steal shooting 48% those are bonafide allstar stats. This month - last 4 games 18 points 11 assist 5.5 rebounds a steal shooting 51% Another crazy thing about him is, he avg's 5 more points on the road then at home and shot 20 percent better from the free throw line at 87% and 25% better from the 3pt line at 48%... 17 road games too...WTF being in NO must suck for him
Why would this make sense? Another undersized PF except this one has no upside. He does not seem to be an upgrade on what we already have unless there is another trade involving 2Pat.
Every "real" nba fan know he can't play defense. What the hell are you talking about? The only thing he can do is play decent post defense. He is trash at everything else. Overrated, inefficient black hole on offense and terrible on defense. Say no to Jefferson.
This is Pau playing defense... http://www.midwestsportsfans.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/pau-gasol-gif.gif
I think you move Parsons for an allstar/Hardenesque/franchise-type player, or you don't move him at all. He fits our team perfectly.
